Social Media / Digital Marketing Intern (Summer 2022)
We are looking for a social media-savvy and talented marketing/PR intern to join our team for Summer 2022 in our Nashville office. The candidate must be eager to learn, and able to think strategically to implement campaigns as directed.
About the internship:
You will get the opportunity to be able to work between two fitness brands (BEAM and Campus Protein) in a fast paced, start-up environment, built for a spirited, motivated learner.
As our Digital Marketing Intern, you will leverage our social media platforms to build brand awareness and drive engagement amongst our audiences. You’ll work closely with internal teams to uphold our social media customer service experience, work on influencer relations, and infuse our tone throughout our social media platforms. You will interact daily with our social media communities and play a key role in the development of social media strategies and content. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in all social media platforms, social media advertising, influencer marketing, and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Social Media and Marketing Operations Teams to help execute monthly social media and PR strategies
- Assist in the growth of the brand through existing social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Develop new ideas and strategies for expansion on new social media platforms (Pinterest, Tik Tok, YouTube)
- Assist in influencer recruitment and help identify what kind of athletes would be the best fit for our brand
- Write copy for social media and blog
- Assist in the planning and execution of product launches and campaigns
- Support the PR and brand management teams to develop and expand digital influencer campaigns
- Concept & create artwork for social media, emails, banner advertising, and landing pages
- Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages
Requirements:
- College junior or senior studying public relations, advertising, marketing or communications
- Energetic, creative, resilient, and team-oriented
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in our Nashville office
- Strong copywriting skills
- Knowledge of student culture & current student lifestyle trends
- Prior experience with visual design, creating graphics, and a solid grasp of design concepts
- Comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite
- Desire to work in a creative, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn
- Ability to manage a project from start to finish and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask while being thorough, accurate and detail-oriented
- Bonus if you have photography experience or have video editing skills (but not required)
