Intern, PR & Activation
As a PR & Activation intern at Cercone Brown, you'll learn foundational skills in the field of public relations. Through this remote learning experience, you'll work alongside industry experts as a vital member of our team to bring our clients' visions to life.
Our Spring Internship Program begins in January and runs until May. Interns must be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week and must be graduating in 2022 or 2023. This internship is for-credit and will be remote through the spring.
What You Can Help Us With:
- Actively contribute to media strategy, including developments of proactive pitch angles, targeted media lists, and media mailer concepts
- Assistant in monitoring and tracking media coverage and trends across the all lifestyle clients
- Research and compile award and media/speaking opportunities for clients
- Brainstorm fresh ideas for PR campaigns
- Work with team on CBC HOUSE programs, including but not limited to: vendor research, event logistics, briefing books and more
- & so much more!
Requirements:
- Available 20 hours per week between Monday and Friday
- Creative and logistical mindset
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Proven go-getter and the ability to make your own opportunities
- Ability to manage time and multitask
- Detail-oriented thinker
- Proficient in major office programs (Outlook, Keynote, Google Drive, etc.)
- Familiarity with major social networks (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
- Familiarity with Cision and/or Muck Rack
- Passionate about the public relations industry (& eager to learn!)
Experience with remote internships is preferred, but not required.
