VP, Influencer Marketing

NYC or Los Angeles Preferred;

Cogent is seeking a VP to lead our Influencer and Celebrity Marketing practice and collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, key client management, and be responsible for leading a team in managing a key agency business.

This role is accountable for strategy; influencer program and campaign management; financial management and reporting; client and internal communications; and team development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and/or implement a set of best-in-class tools and processes for influencer identification, contract negotiation, content planning, measurement, and ROI analysis.
  • Provide strong insights and analysis to clients and internal teams on influencer marketing and social/digital best practices.
  • Lead and manage large-scale, complex influencer campaigns and deals from end-to-end
  • Collaborate effectively with inter-agency teams to develop strategic plans and fully integrated campaigns for our clients.
  • Continue to develop our suite of data and measurement tools to optimize campaigns, evaluate performance and results
  • Help close new business opportunities, drive incremental growth with existing clients, and increase topline revenue for the group
  • Lead, grow, and develop direct reports and junior team members

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong network and understanding of the overall influencer, social and digital media landscapes
  • Deep expertise in managing influencer programs, including paid amplification and campaign optimization
  • Experience developing creative influencer campaigns - from the concepts and ideas presented, to the influencers vetted and selected and the type of content developed
  • Strong written, verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, key clients, and external stakeholders like agents, managers, and publicists
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and handle a number of concurrent projects and tasks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of influencer programming/procurement experience, preferably within an agency environment
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Curios, collaborative, flexible, positive, and energetic
