ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Email Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development of the direct-to-consumer email strategy and execution for Melissa and Doug. You will own the email marketing strategy for MelissaAndDoug.com, manage the relationship with our email service provider and email database, and you will help to design, code and execute innovative, best-in-class email campaigns from end-to-end.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategize, design, and execute direct-to-consumer email marketing campaigns, targeted email campaigns, and triggered emails
  • Analyze email campaign performance and identify areas of optimization
  • Report sales revenue contribution directly linked to email campaign performance
  • Identify target audiences and work with acquisition channels to grow the email subscriber database
  • Execute email campaigns with correct grammar, punctuation and with clarity to the consumer, and work with design and copywriting teams to ensure messages are in line with larger brand strategy and guidelines
  • Ensure email templates are mobile-friendly, and meet strong deliverability rates.
  • Develop and execute A/B tests with the goal to improve conversion rates for the email channel (i.e. personalization, recommendations, and other dynamic content to drive a more 1:1 relationship with email subscribers.)
  • Ensure emails follow latest industry trends, are CAN-SPAM compliant, and are up-to-date on DTC email marketing best practices
  • Ensure email KPIs like revenue, open rates, click rates, CVR, AOV, unsubscribe rate, meet or exceed goals and expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideal candidate should have at least 3-7 years of experience in managing email marketing within an agency or direct to consumer brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, public relations, digital consumer products, digital content management
  • Proven experience with Email Service Providers like Sailthru, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar ESP.
  • Proven experience with design tools like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe InDesign, and coding tools like Adobe Dreamweaver
  • Some experience with all major social media platforms, and at least one type of digital platform like the following: WordPress, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
  • Seeking a passionate, creative, entrepreneurial, innovative consumer-driven content creator and amplifier
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively structure and articulate presentations to foster learning
