About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Influencer Marketing and Experiences to join cocokind, a high-growth skincare company. You will lead our influencer marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, creating long-lasting and meaningful relationships across our vast network of influencers. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing strategy for the influencer department, building out a scalable organic outreach and retention program, directing paid campaigns, and crafting distinctive and brand-aligned influencer experiences. The ideal candidate understands the quickly evolving digital landscape and can lead a team with a strong vision, established processes, and creative thinking. You have a passion for influencers and social marketing, and you are able to make savvy business decisions based on intuition and strong analytical skills. Reporting to the Director of Brand at cocokind, this position is highly collaborative with our Social Media, Growth Marketing, E-Commerce, and Product team, and will also report key metrics on a regular basis to the management team.
What you'll do:
- Develop a strategic plan and establish scalable influencer outreach and retention strategies to drive brand awareness and advocacy
- Manage and inspire our best-in-class influencer team, providing clear process, creative vision, thinking, and ideas to help drive the business and individual development goals
- Manage the influencer program’s P&L and paid budget for collaborations, track returns and implement a “continuous learning” mentality so we can drive efficiency with this program
- Create differentiated and distinctive influencer experiences that are aligned with our brand values and help strengthen relationships across the board
- Direct our influencer content strategy for organic posts, paid posts, and whitelisting opportunities to ensure that our brand is well represented and product differentiators are highlighted
- Be obsessed with tracking analytics and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly reports on influencer performance to the management team
- Lead the team in structuring and negotiating partnerships with influencers that create a win-win outcome
- Be a strategic thought leader with our Product, Social Media, and other Marketing leaders for any tentpole events on how we can drive brand and product buzz
- Lead collaborations with other brand partners for influencer gifting opportunities
- Always maintain a pulse on emerging trends, cultural relevance, and changes within the social and digital landscape
Who you are:
- 7-8 years of social media and influencer marketing experience
- A passion for developing meaningful relationships with influencers within the beauty industry
- Strong management and communication skills upwards, downwards, and laterally in an organization
- Deep expertise and continuous curiosity for all new and existing social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and beyond
- A quick thinker and creative problem solver that shows strong adaptability and flexibility
- A positive mindset with a “can-do” attitude that focuses on removing blocks and obstacles for teammates
- A proven track record of establishing influencer marketing processes at a high growth company
- Experience analyzing data, reporting insights, and devising/implementing influencer strategies and programs.
