Associate Manager, Social and Influencer Marketing

Beautycounter and global investment firm The Carlyle Group have announced that Carlyle has acquired a majority stake in Beautycounter. The partnership will allow Beautycounter to accelerate its strategic initiatives, including increasing brand awareness as well as bolstering the company’s innovative, integrated, omni-channel business model. The transaction values the company at $1 billion.
The Associate Social + Influencer Manager is an appointed administrator for social media communities (i.e. Instagram, Facebook Page, etc.). The Associate Social Media Manager is responsible for moderating User Generated Content that appears and escalating any issues to the appropriate internal teams, as well as assisting with strategy through reporting on trending issues and performing social listening. In addition, the right person lives on TikTok and is comfortable tapping into social first trends and leading the creative briefing process for our paid influencer efforts.
In This Role You Will
- Ideate and create social-first content for REELS, TikTok, Instagram Stories, Instagram
- Actively collect social listening data, report to greater team to inform monthly content calendar; active voice in content calendar planning and strategy
- Management of third-party analytics platforms
- QA all content before going live on all platforms and QA all copy as best as possible to assure maximum engagement
- Analyze effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media efforts
- Schedule and post relevant content in accordance with Content Calendar (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube,IGTV)
- Engage with Beautycounter's owned and community’s posts across multiple social platforms (ie. liking/commenting on tagged posts, brand-related hashtag posts, etc.)
- Work cross-functionally with influencer team on social trends, creative briefs, and social deliverables for organic use
- Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand (ie. Consultant or Influencer behavior on Social)
- Escalate social media related issues to internal stakeholders and create Communication Responses and actively work with Product, Legal, Corporate Communication teams for approval
- Run end-to-end campaigns from campaign briefing through influencer selection and campaign execution and measurement
- Work with internal legal department and talent to negotiate and finalize talent contracts, with knowledge of influencer contract nuances and prioritizing brand and program needs
- Proficient in Google Analytics
- Develop and implement creative strategies and tactics to get content produced that drives traffic and results,
- Compile detailed campaign recaps communicating the ROI of influencer campaigns
- Championing and educating the business on the impact of Influencer and social initiatives as a marketing channel, including keeping a pulse on the industry’s innovations and best and class examples to further optimize and evolve our program
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience managing social media communities
- Knowledge of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, You Tube, TikTok, Reels
- Emphasis on Instagram and TikTok
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to engage audiences
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A high level of organization with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to be both a self-starter and a team player
- Understanding of popular social networks – design, functionality, users
- Proficiency in social listening tools
- Seasoned in Google Analytics reporting
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Premier Pro, and other Adobe features
- Exceptional communication skills within the team and cross functionally
- Experience in influencer relations, paid partnerships
