Overview
Our newly formed Brand and Marketing team is charged with defining the Instacart brand and making it a household name. We are right- and left-brained - combining creativity with a rigorously analytical approach. We move fast, work nimbly, and are laser-focused on driving measurable business impact.
We are looking for an Influencer Marketing Manager within our Brand Strategy & Marketing team to help bring our influencer program to life at Instacart. In this role, you'll work closely with Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, Communications, Legal and external agencies to strategically identify and partner with influencers to increase awareness and shape the perception of Instacart amongst new and existing audiences. You’ll be responsible for working cross-functionally to determine the right influencers for each campaign, partnering with marketing and legal to ensure all content is aligned with the Instacart brand, and providing an analysis of content performance and insights to dictate future campaigns. This role will work closely with both internal and external agencies, so being able to think strategically, communicate clearly and be flexible are a must.

This role is eligible for remote work or can be located in our San Francisco or New York office.
About The Job
- Lead and manage the execution of an influencer marketing strategy using a social-first approach
- Develop, plan and implement influencer and brand ambassador programs that drive acquisition, retention, engagement, and brand goals for Instacart.
- Identify new and relevant influencer targets and brainstorm new approaches to influencer campaigns
- Manage the relationship with Instacart’s influencer agency, including budgeting, feedback, reviews and approvals
- Partner with cross-functional leads to develop influencer marketing plans for key campaigns and cultural moments throughout the year

- Partner closely with internal marketing, comms and legal teams - from developing concepts for briefs to feedback, approvals and execution
- Build and manage paid media strategy for influencer initiatives
- Maintain a pulse on marketing and influencer-focused trends and campaigns
About You
- 7+ years experience in brand influencer marketing, social media and brand strategy at high growth consumer brands. Gig economy / Marketplace roles a plus.
- You have deployed or overseen large integrated influencer campaigns that have driven impact on company-level metrics
- Experience working with a wide variety of influencers (micro, macro, celebrity) and knowing when to partner with each influencer category
- Ability to analyze influencer data and be able to clearly articulate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Ability to identify creator trends and propose before they become viral
- connection to the brand. Can balance vision, creativity, and business outcomes.
- You understand brand and performance marketing concepts and can articulate them to a broad set of audiences
- You are an articulate, thoughtful, and persuasive communicator, and a strong advocate for our brand across both inside and outside the company. You have strong experiences interfacing with senior leaders across the org chart and are able to communicate complex ideas into simple yet exciting terms.
