What We Want

Slicedbread is looking for an Associate Product Marketing Manager, focusing on seeing through the successful strategy, execution, and deployment of our development clients. We are looking for someone who can not only see a project through from start to finish, but also speak into the strategy of the build, assisting clients with understanding the best approach in bringing their products and/or services out to the forefront, providing expertise and suggestions on their go-to-market and long-term plans, and making technical recommendations on what their digital properties may need to truly elevate and strengthen their products and overall brand. You will be coordinating between various departments between marketing and creative teams, working alongside our heads of creative and development. The majority of the platforms we work within are Shopify, Wordpress/Woocommerce, Bigcommerce, and Magento. Proficient-to-expert knowledge of Shopify is required for success in this role.

The candidate we are looking for should have some experience, but more importantly should possess the qualities of a well-organized leader. Because the candidate will be working within technical development environments and projects, attention to detail is key. Much of the technical skills can be learned on the job, but attention to detail, organizational skills, and a desire to see projects through are paramount to succeeding in this role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • 1+ years of working experience in a technical product management capacity; Specifically with digital projects such as web builds
  • 1+ years of working experience in a client/project management facing capacity; Specifically with digital projects such as web builds
  • Experience working with multiple verticals from a technical and/or marketing capacity, especially in retail
  • Proficient-to-expert level working knowledge of Shopify
  • Experience in the eCommerce world from a technical perspective
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Monday.com, Clickup, Basecamp, Jira, Asana, etc.
  • Experience in providing strategy to clients anywhere on the spectrum; From early conception all the way through to deployment and post-deployment strategies
  • Experience with handling onboarding processes such as creative briefs and kick off meetings
  • Proficiency in Google products (ie. Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Slides)
  • Demonstrable work with either examples or a portfolio to showcase skills around organizational skills, attention to detail, and/or projects overseen
  • Working knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
  • Willingness to learn almost enough to be an engineer of their own!

Nice To Haves

  • Has a direct technical background in web development
  • Know and understand digital advertising and marketing (ie. Google Advertising, Facebook/Instagram (Meta) advertising, SEO, email marketing, influencer marketing, SMS marketing)
  • Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS/SASS, and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience in multiple other eCommerce platforms (ie. Wordpress/Woocommerce, Bigcommerce, and/or Magento)
  • Experience working in production and sandbox environments and how to set those up.
  • Experience with version control such as Git
