Company Description
Reporting to the Sr. Social Media Manager, the Sr. Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Social Media Manager in the overall development and execution of the social strategy and content calendar across all of TuneCore’s Global social media platforms including: Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. The Sr. Social Media Coordinator will work with the Sr. Social Media Manager to portray the brand’s voice, goals and strategy across the social landscape, while creating an engaging community.
This role will be responsible for working cross functionally with other teams such as Marketing, Artist Support, Publishing, etc. to make sure all socials are aligned with the overall vision of the brand.
Note: This role will require availability for certain “off work days/hours” such as events, live streams, weekend coverage and so forth. These days/hours will be decided upon between the Sr. Social Media Manager and the Sr. Social Media Coordinator to schedule this coverage out as needed and compensate in exchange for other work days.
Job Description
The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Strategy
- Collaborate with the Sr. Social Media Manager in updating the social media strategy.
- Continue to evolve our strategy, keeping up to date with new trends, launches and what is up and coming.
- Research and be in the know of social media trends and high-level cultural moments in the music industry to help implement new ideas into the strategy, so that we can deliver timely relevant content to our audience and allow us to be a part of culturally relevant moments .
Social Media
- Schedule and execute the publishing of all posts across TuneCore’s Global social media platforms including: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Assist the Sr. Social Media Manager in creating copy for these posts.
- Assist the Influencer Marketing Specialist with receiving content from artists, including artist communications as needed.
- Monitor, manage and maintain the engagement across TuneCore’s Global social media platforms on a daily basis.
- Sourcing content from artists, social platforms, and content websites to utilize in content creation.
- Research and compile educational advice and information to be sent to the graphic design team to create short-form educational content.
- Light content creation for quick turnaround social media posts, as needed.
Community Management
- Engage with TuneCore’s owned posts and the posts from TuneCore’s community [ artists, local channels, influencers, brands, etc.]
- Respond to comments across social media platforms in a timely fashion. [On working days, within 2 hours]
- Escalate any issues to the Artist Support team, and further communicate with the team as needed.
Analysis
- Assist the Sr. Social Media Manager in:
○ Generating monthly reports and analyzing performance metrics to increase engagement and productivity of social media initiatives.
○ Creating recap reports for individualized campaigns.
Implementing social content requirements and best practices while monitoring campaign performance for early signs of positive or negative trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Social Media
- Well versed across various social media platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Ability to juggle multiple platforms and priorities
- A knowledge and passion for the music industry. Strong understanding of the independent artist music community landscape is a plus.
- Creative thinker with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Proficient in social media scheduling platforms and reporting tools, such as: Later, Brand24, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Hootsuite, etc.
- Experience with design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Final Cut, InDesign is a plus.
- Strong understanding of content narrative and storytelling across social media.
- Highly motivated with the ability to function independently and solve problems creatively and quickly.
- Proactive, energetic attitude and desire to work in a results-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player and comfortable working cross-functionally across varying levels.
- Demonstrate thoroughness, follow-up, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- BS/BA degree
