Social Media Brand Specialist

Howdy! thunder::tech is an integrated marketing agency headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. We’re searching for a Social Media Brand Specialist to join our growing Communications Department. The Communications Department develops and executes communication strategies in the areas of social media, content strategy, marketing automation, email, SEO and content marketing. The Social Media Brand Specialist will support organic social media marketing (70%) and creative brand initiatives (30%) and will report to the Manager of Social Media Services and the Director of Communications. This is not an entry-level position.

You are…

  • Passionate about social media marketing
  • Into creating aesthetically pleasing work
  • A writer at heart and well-versed in AP Style
  • Comfortable presenting your ideas to your team and clients
  • Organized with an acute attention to detail
  • Able to multitask and manage your own time and deadlines
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and always thinking outside of the box
  • Ready to continually learn and improve your craft

You have…

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing
  • 2-4 years experience in a social media role (bonus points if you’ve worked at an agency)
  • Strong social media writing samples and highlights of successful campaigns
  • Used a social media management and scheduling platform, like Hootsuite, Falcon or Sprout Social
  • Created visual assets for organic social media content and other marketing materials, like emails
  • Produced social media content for a variety of industries
  • Applied your creative eye and thinking skills to other marketing materials, like emails
  • Social media certifications, like Facebook Blueprint, Hubspot Academy, Meltwater Academy, etc.*
  • Supported influencer marketing efforts*
  • Managed and planned paid social media campaigns*

*A plus, but not required

You will…

  • Research, plan and create organic social media content for a variety of clients, including post copy and creative assets
  • Act as a community manager for clients while adhering to individual brand standards and voice expectations
  • Track, analyze and present metrics for organic and paid social media campaigns and provide insights and recommendations for future success
  • Brainstorm new and creative approaches to social media campaigns and other marketing materials, including emails
  • Identify digital marketing trends or insights to contribute to the success of the Social Media Team and Communications Department as a whole
