Director of Brand Marketing
Shop Extraordinary Enterprises (parent company to Artists & Fleas, Regeneration and Manhattan Vintage) is seeking a dynamic, energetic and accomplished Director of Brand Marketing to help take our current and future brands to the next level. Working in close collaboration with our founders and Co-CEOs, this individual will join a growing team to develop creative brand initiatives and serve as a brand steward to help make an immediate and meaningful impact on our brand portfolio, the evolution of our brands, their marketing strategies and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience across a range of marketing triggers and touch points from brand strategy to social media and influencer strategy, from email marketing to data analysis, from public relations to strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be a quick learner capable of demonstrating strong management skills, collaborating cross-functionally, growing our audiences and channels, and increasing engagement and brand relevance.
A cultivated taste and aesthetic as well as experience in the fashion industry, retail, consumer brands or the arts/culture is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead over brand marketing and communications including strategy and creative execution.
- Develop compelling marketing and communication strategies to position and create greater awareness for SEE and its portfolio of brands.
- Proactively develop and foster relationships with content creators, influencers and media to share the brand story/campaigns to garner engaging branded content.
- Build and oversee social media calendars including planning, scheduling, and day-to-day management to optimize content for each platform and brand.
- Collaborate with the Director of Retail on new brand expression including art direction, in-store experience, styling, digital content, and consumer messaging.
- Participate in brainstorms and team meetings. Establish processes for workflow and execution of new concepts and ideas.
- Maintain acute awareness of the marketplace and social trends, new platform features and best practices, and provide channel and community insights with actionable next steps on an ongoing basis.
- Ability to leverage and inspire in-house teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of product marketing and/or a brand marketing role at an agency or in-house.
- 5+ years of demonstrated marketing leadership and management experience.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and executional level; ideate and directly execute.
- Fluency in mobile marketing to Gen Z and millennial customers.
- Excellent communicator and compelling storyteller with experience working with PR teams to gain earned media.
- Experience managing timelines and budgets.
- Strong ability to communicate a creative and strategic vision via strong written and verbal communications.
- Detail oriented planner who understands the importance of owning timelines and internal communications.
- Quick learner, logical thinker and team player.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment, adapting to continually changing priorities and ambitious project timeframe.
- Ability to leverage and inspire in house teams.
