Blue Nile is looking for a passionate, strategic, collaborative and creative Influencer Marketing Manager to join our Brand Marketing team. This role is critical to helping Blue Nile scale our domestic influencer marketing program. This role will report to the Director of Public Relations and work closely with Performance Marketing, Merchandising, Organic Social Media, Creative and Legal in addition to external agency partners. A successful candidate for this role is a strong, strategic marketer and communicator, comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment while helping to build a rapidly growing business and team. This role is eligible for remote work or can be located at our Seattle office.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Lead and manage the strategy, execution, growth and optimization of our influencer marketing program using a social-first approach
- Develop, plan and implement influencer campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, acquisition and revenue for Blue Nile and help grow our social media following
- Identify new and relevant influencer targets based on audience segmentation and brainstorm new approaches to campaigns and content creation
- Actively identify and cultivate new communities of influencers as well as new channel expansion opportunities to reach our target customers and extend our reach
- Support and foster long term relationships with our existing influencer partner community
- Partner with cross-functional leads to develop influencer marketing plans for key campaigns and seasonal moments throughout the year including engagements, holidays and other gifting occasions
- Collaborate with our performance team to optimize influencer initiatives for paid social, email marketing and on-site shopping integrations
- Maintain a pulse on marketing, social media and influencer-focused trends and campaigns. Proactively suggest new ways to innovate and enhance our influencer marketing approach, staying on top of the latest trends and ever-evolving social media landscape and emerging platforms
- Drive efficient performance that is tracked daily, weekly and monthly against aggressive growth and ROI targets
- Manage the relationship with external influencer marketing platform including budgeting, feedback, reviews, approvals, measurement and reporting
About you:
- 7+ years of experience in brand influencer marketing and communications, social media and brand strategy; PR experience a plus, but not required
- Have lead influencer marketing campaigns of various sizes and delivered impactful results tied to business goals and objectives
- Experience working with a wide variety of influencers including micro, macro and celebrity and know when to partner with each based on objectives and goals
- Ability to analyze influencer data and clearly communicate results tied to audience and revenue growth, insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and the broader organization
- Strong negotiation skills and industry knowledge of performance-based influencer marketing
- Love keeping your finger on the pulse when it comes to viral social media trends and can quickly pull together and execute a thoughtful recommendation
- You understand brand and performance marketing concepts and can make recommendations on how to optimize for impact
- A confident communicator who can articulate ideas with a business-first mentality and are solutions-oriented
- Ability to manage campaigns of all sizes, sometimes under tight timelines, while still delivering results
- You offer solutions to problems and can pivot and adjust quickly as needed
- Must have experience working with external influencer marketing platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in jewelry, fashion, lifestyle, social media, and pop culture a plus
