Masterworks Overview:

Masterworks is a fintech platform where anyone can invest in shares of SEC-registered blue-chip paintings by names like Banksy, Monet, and Picasso. So far, their current holdings exceed $300M across over 80 works, which is expected to surpass $1 billion in 2022. Right now, new paintings launch on their platform every week.

With 150 employees and over 300,000 registered users, the business has been featured in major media publications such as The NY Times, CNBC, CNN, WSJ, and more. After becoming profitable in early 2020, just three years after being founded, Masterworks raised $110M in its Series A round with a valuation of over $1 billion.

All employees work in their offices at Brookfield Place in the Financial District of New York City.

Position Overview:

Masterworks is scaling 5x over the course of 2022 and expanding the marketing team to drive our growth. Our influencer marketing program has barely scratched the surface.You will be instrumental in helping build our network with hundreds of new partners.

We are seeking a Media Planner focused on influencer communities to join the Media Ops team working closely with Media Buyers. A successful candidate will have passion with the influencer marketing landscape (on YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter), and be passionate about efficiency and performance analytics. You will show media buyers where the best audiences are, how each influencer should pitch our company, and how they should set the compensation structure.

Currently, our marketing team is approximately 25 people, with 9 people in media operations or business development.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Build a prospect list of influencers on YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter for media buyers to prospect
  • Build and organize influencer pipelines for media buyers
  • Help media buyers accurately price potential influencer sponsorships, by building spreadsheet models to look at various follower and engagement factors to determine appropriate price
  • Redline and negotiate insertion orders
  • Summarize best practices for each influencer’s creative direction
  • Analyze ad performance after influencers run and provide data to media buyers to re-negotiate prices

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Deep passion for influencers on YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter - particularly in the finance/investing space
  • Highly organized and analytical – comfortable using CRM tools and building complex spreadsheet models

Measurements of Success in First 90 Days:

  • Understand the characteristics of our best performing influencer archetype, their optimal ad creative direction, and our metrics for successful influencer promotions
  • Build prospect pipelines for individual media buyers to use
  • Put prospects into Hubspot and help media buyers get organized around outbound prospecting activity

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in the office in the NYC area.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions.
