AGAR is searching for a Social Media Strategist with 5+ years of experience in content creation and social media marketing in a professional setting, preferably within the marketing, event, restaurant & bar, CPG and retail industries. The candidate will be expected to boost brand awareness for AGAR and its portfolio of clients on multiple platforms by developing compelling content, leveraging knowledge of consumer insights, trends and creative storytelling. The candidate must design, plan and execute social media, influencer marketing and email marketing campaigns, including capturing and editing original content.

WHO WE NEED/

The ideal candidate will be self-starting, well organized, have excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills. The Senior Social Media Strategist will work closely with the Experiential Communications Director to create story arcs and marketing/PR strategies while collaborating with the Creative Department to ensure content outputs meets brand standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement and manage social strategy for AGAR, its entities and clients
  • Own the growth of the social media/online communities and measure the success of every social media campaign by analyzing, compiling and presenting social media metrics and findings.
  • Use data to identify when and how to alter strategy to improve results.
  • Develop captivating content calendars with original creative content and recommended schedule for posting, sample images, copy, hashtags and preferred platforms.
  • Execute front-line response and increase follower retention, conversion, engagement, and brand loyalty by proactively monitoring and engaging in online communities, which includes but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter.
  • Manage AGAR and it’s clients Influencer marketing campaigns. Work with clients to define the right approach for influencers to meet the set objectives. Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place
  • Effectively manage client campaigns, ensuring they’re delivered on time, to a high standard; communicating with social influencers and platform partners will be necessary, as well as internal communications, i.e. with the Creative, Content, Communications and Marketing teams.
  • Identify industry trends and best-practices by proactively monitoring the industry and share findings with the larger AGAR team.

  • Embody AGAR’s quick and nimble way of executing work and knowing when there is a sense of urgency to meet client and project needs.
  • Cross-sell and grow the relationships throughout the office as applicable.
  • Stay current with culture and industry trends and changing business processes.
  • Participate in and contribute to weekly brainstorm sessions, internal meetings, processes and company-owned events.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE/

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Design or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience post graduation in social media or digital marketing, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Ability to work weekends. Some weeks require more than 40 hours of work.
  • Experience with photography and photo editing. Video production, animations and graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Proven work experience within social media and influencer marketing.
  • Understanding of social platforms, content performance and analytics, audiences, paid tactics and digital trends.
  • Quick learner and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and seeks solutions through researching, outreach and collaboration.
  • Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Maintains excellent creative writing and copywriting skills.
  • Manage and adhere to project timelines and assignments and deliver items to team in a timely manner.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and proficient in Keynote, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google G Suite (proficiency in Apple products preferred). Adobe Suite proficiency is a plus.
