XBU Social Media Manager

The Social media manager, PR XBU will own the social media content calendar, social strategy and content development for LG’s cross business unit campaigns and always on as well as LG PR initiatives. Partnering with PR, CSR, B2B and LG stakeholders, he/she will drive how LG brand initiatives come to life on owned, earned and influencer social media channels aligning with LG’s brand business goals. The ideal candidate will understand how social media fits into the organizations’ larger integrated strategy.

Candidate will have ownership of the following social initiative categories:

  • CSR
  • LG SIGNATURE
  • PR
  • B2B
  • LG NOVA
  • HQ initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define social strategy for XBU and PR social campaigns
  • Create and own campaign social calendars
  • Coordinate with the larger social team to synchronize overarching LG social media content calendar and priorities
  • Work with creative team to develop social first content to represent LG across platforms
  • Execute social posting and campaigns across all channels
  • Keep on the pulse of social media trends and technology to act as social media thought leader for LG
  • Recommend and brief influencers

Skills

  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Hands on consumer and business experience in social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Tiktok.
  • Briefing experience
  • Experience with social media publishing, listening and reporting tools. IE: Sprinklr

Requirements:

  • 3‐5 years of relevant experience working on consumer‐facing brands
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or business
  • Social Media Expertise and tools for social management, measurement and reporting
  • Expertise in influencer marketing or Talent Management of all levels from micro, macro to mega influencers
  • In‐depth knowledge of and passion for digital and social media marketing, platforms and users
  • Savvy and knowledgeable about current social trends, innovations, tools, and best practices
  • Understanding of digital marketing ecosystem, including paid and organic search, SEO, display, mobile,
  • Social agency experience, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solution‐oriented person who takes the initiative to provide and/or search for answers to issues
  • Capable of managing multiple, simultaneous projects with tight turn‐around schedule
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage based on urgent timelines
