Buffalo Agency is supporting its industry leading golf client with an embedded Buffalo employee to serve as the client’s Vice President of Marketing. This position will be responsible for leading the client’s internal marketing department, managing the client’s partnership with Buffalo (and potential contractors) and full execution of all marketing initiatives for the client.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the marketing lead advising the CEO, COO and executive team on marketing strategy and initiatives. Participate in leadership team meetings, where appropriate, to provide marketing departmental updates
- Manage the internal marketing team including team development, individual performance and development goals and marketing team strategy and execution deliverables
- Collaborate with department leads and team members throughout the organization to ensure marketing support is provided to all necessary departments and all programs being executed are in partnership to ensure strong results and high effectiveness
- Lead marketing plan development and execution for 2022 including the oversight of the internal and external teams (Buffalo and contractors)
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of marketing initiatives and guiding necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and successful KPIs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience in a marketing related position
- Experience leading marketing team, agency team and interacting with executive level of an organization
- Superior project management skills and experience managing multiple contributors, executives, peers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Strong track record of leading data-driven and well-researched traditional and integrated programs across internal and external channels
- Superior written and verbal communications and presentation skills, along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments and effectively motivate and manage teams
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation-development skills; project management skills; and consultative skills (including effective questions, critical thinking, and framework and methodology application)
- Ability to command a room as a dynamic speaker with strategic credibility
- An entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership qualities, and a collaborative attitude
- Accountability and a drive to achieve results
- Experience leading integrated marketing disciplines and deliverables such as strategic planning, creative ideation and production, social media and editorial content, influencer marketing, PR, digital marketing and data/research
- Knowledge and passion for the game of golf, experience preferred
Required Travel
- Monthly travel (1-2 nights) to Connecticut
- First month in the role will require additional travel for onboarding
Role Specifics
- This position is available as both part-time (30 hours/week) through 12/31/22 or full-time (40 hours/week) with Buffalo Agency
- Full time compensation for this position is $100,000 - $130,000
