Director of Content and Community

We are looking for a Director of Content and Community to develop and share these stories and connect with our B2B audiences—including real estate agents, brokers, mortgage lenders, home builders, and more—in an engaging and scalable way to grow our brand and build a sense of community among our audiences.
You will manage a Senior Marketing Manager, Digital, and together you will drive engagement with our B2B audiences by using various online and offline channels—including but not limited to our website, social media, Youtube, online forums, in-person and digital events and more—to meet our audiences where they are. You will tell our brand story, monitor and participate in conversations, share success stories, and develop our content and distribution strategy.
You are an authentic communicator who understands the value of developing communities and relationships. This player-coach role will bring their expertise in community building and content strategy to Realtor.com as our first Director, Content and Community. There will be a lot of white space in this role to really come in, make it your own, and have an impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute on a strategy to build a community of engaged prospects, customers, advocates, skeptics, and everyone in between to build realtor.com’s brand.
- Develop a B2B content strategy to engage prospects and move them through the B2B marketing funnel in a way that connects them to our brand promise.
- Organize content across various cross-functional teams and use digital channels to drive traffic back to our site. Develop growth and impact goals to show content’s impact on brand, revenue and retention.
- Own our B2B blog; create content calendar and manage content production, including thought leadership, education, support, infographics, etc. using best practices in CRO and SEO.
- Educate agents on how to be successful with Realtor.com products; collaborate cross-functionally to curate and build scalable educational programs that provide agents with the right information at the right time through the right channels.
- Develop and execute a B2B social media strategy, including growth and impact goals. Manage content calendar; create, curate, post and share content that drives engagement; grow audience; respond to messages; develop process to solicit content from cross functional teams.
- Turn our marketing website into an industry-leading brand channel and inbound-lead driver through better content organization, design and storytelling.
- Create a strategy to amplify the social good we do for the real estate community to grow brand equity (ie Fair Housing advocatation, Good Neighbor Award sponsorship)
- Create scalable customer advocacy program; manage testimonial development and distribution strategy.
- Manage Realtor.com’s digital reputation. Solicit, organize and contextualize feedback from customers to drive positive reviews to industry sites. Partner with corporate comms and customer care.
- Explore influencer marketing strategy with key leaders in the industry
- Create community and experiences by partnering with events team to develop engagement strategies before, during and after in-person events.
- Partner with creative services to develop copy and design assets
- Research industry trends and hot topics to keep Realtor.com in the conversation. Actively monitor industry groups and forums to keep a pulse on the industry and any conversations that include Realtor.com or its competitors.
- Experiment with new channels, messaging and platforms to grow our community
- Report on engagement metrics and how your impact is helping drive business goals
Preferred Qualifications
- 8-10 years of proven success building engaged communities and managing content
- Creative thinker who understands the benefits an engaged community can provide
- Authentic communicator who loves building relationships
- Skilled at various community and social media platform
- Professional and personable written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility; you will be carving your own job description
- Cross-functional collaborator who can lead, influence and work across multiple teams and functions
