Job summary
Sr. Media Content Strategist sought for the growing Amazon Web Services (AWS) Media Series Team.
The Sr. Media Content Strategist will play a crucial role in defining and driving the content strategy for the global AWS Media Series digital experiences. You will develop, deploy, and manage innovative strategies, ensuring our message is consistent and engaging and that it connects content and user journeys directly to business growth objectives globally.
A successful candidate will be well versed in strategic communications, creating, producing, and implementing original content and stories across the AWS Media Series owned, shared, paid, and earned platform. You will work within a cross-functional, high-velocity content engine as well as with teams across the global organization to support our marketing activities and growth goals.
This position will be tasked with developing consistent and compelling media channel strategies that strengthen our relationship with prospective customers and drives leads, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction globally.
Strong preference for this role to work in Irvine, CA or Seattle, WA but open to work from any U.S. location with an Amazon Corporate Office. Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the global editorial content calendar. Create, plan, write and edit content calendar for a wide range of projects, such as prospectus, webinar, survey, websites, blogs, social media, emails, digital ads, videos, case studies, infographics, brochures, white paper, event collateral, and other marketing initiatives.
• Work with regional teams and develop an effective global messaging strategy to target the specific markets.
• Define the content types and topics that maximize audience engagement. Research current trends and keywords and contribute to content idea generation.
• Develop and execute a video strategy to highlight the value of AWS' benefits and offerings.
• Develop and execute a social media content strategy that grows impressions and engagement rate.
• Manage creative asset needs and requests for the marketing team. Collaborate with the event creative team to bring creative storytelling to life.
• Manage the content localization and improve the quality of translation. Establish a new process to streamline the localization for all assets.
• Partner with the global leads, Event content program managers, Partner content program managers, and other cross-functional teams to identify and resource content needs across all marketing programs.
• Track and manage content performance and engagement to measure impact and provide proposals to refine and optimize content strategy.
• Continually raise the bar on the development of compelling, data-driven storytelling with a brand and customer focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years’ experience in content marketing
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, English, or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience managing and executing content strategy, content structures, and content development that demonstrate audience engagement
• Proven ability to develop and manage content programs through the entire project lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and maintenance. Example content programs include content audits and migrations, content strategies, optimized web content development, and integrated content marketing programs that may include email marketing, social marketing, influencer marketing, etc. across multiple channels and platforms.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders to develop content program plans, creative briefs, and professional communications.
• Proven success managing and delivering content programs with a data-driven approach, and overall experience applying those capabilities within different web environments, such as content management systems, marketing automation systems, and social media apps.
• Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, often fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Strong team player with the ability to successfully collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
• The professionalism, confidence and attention to detail necessary to earn the respect of client executives, peers and project team members.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $76k -134k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
