We’re looking for a motivated and results-oriented PR Account Manager to join our team, servicing a consumer account whose programs are a mix of traditional PR, social media and influencer marketing. Here’s the mix of what you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Staying on top of trends in influencer relations – keeping abreast of the latest ways that consumer brands are partnering with micro-influencers and those with huge subscriber bases on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Pinterest – and immersing yourself in the evolving world of influencer marketing
  • Helping brainstorm, conceptualize and execute influencer campaigns that tap into these digital tastemakers and enable our clients to partner with them in fun, impactful and meaningful ways to drive awareness of product launches, new services and spur word-of-mouth chatter that builds buzz around their brand
  • Awareness of the tools, platforms and partners making waves in influencer marketing today – and a willingness and curiosity to keep learning more about the latest to enter the scene
  • Generate creative ideas to help drive client PR/social media programs; proactively offer recommendations and ideas to the program and share recommendations with clients on how to use industry news and trends to impact their programs that leads to earned media coverage.
  • Ensure the account team is effectively executing on the client’s program, meeting defined deliverables, and delivering excellent client service
  • Build strong client relations at senior levels, identifies and troubleshoots issues and challenges as they relate to client satisfaction and overall program success
  • Manage account teams in the execution of all programs and assume accountability for meeting all program deliverables. Act as mentor and coach for team members, taking an active role in their professional development
  • Manage budget and allocation of staff resources
  • Actively participate in new business: Identifies opportunities to upsell and grow the account; brings in new business opportunities through own network, experience and meet established revenue goals; generates new business pitch decks with strategic, creative thinking; contributes meaningfully to RFPs; and plays a key role in a new business meeting and/or messaging and positioning session

Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
  • 6+ years of post-college PR agency experience working with consumer, b2b tech and professional services clients
  • Experience developing and overseeing influencer programs – either managed directly or via third-party tools and partners – with proven success
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large retainer clients as well as managing sizeable account teams
  • Ability to conceive and oversee the implementation of overall communication programs as well as targeted product launches, announcements, strategies, message development and corporate positioning
  • A demonstrated track record of leading successful, measurable PR and social media programs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic and team-oriented environment
  • Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail
  • Adaptable, dependable and promotes positive work environment
