The Public Relations Coordinator will bring best-in-class counsel to the Consumer Connections team across the North American Foot Locker family of brands. This person will report to the Public Relations manager and will assist with the development and implementation of PR plans to drive brand awareness and contribute to furthering the brand narratives through evergreen efforts that translate into earned media. The ideal candidate will have experience in Public Relations and/or Communications.
Responsibilities
- Support the PR and Influencer Marketing strategy for the North American divisions of Foot Locker, Foot Locker Women, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports and Eastbay.
- Assist with the development and implementation of PR plans in partnership with the internal PR team as well as external PR agencies, to drive brand awareness and contribute to furthering the brand narratives through evergreen efforts that translate into earned media.
- Work closely with all marketing disciplines, product teams, and internal stakeholders on major programs.
- Oversee new vendor setup, PO writing and invoice processing for the department with marketing finance.
- Manage program budgets.
- Oversee a regular cadence of reporting and measurement for the department.
- Assist PR agency in reporting and end of month reports.
- Support exclusive Foot Locker, Inc. programs (NA Concepts) with agency and vendor partners
- Work closely with Influencer Marketing team on larger brand campaigns, reporting, and identification of potential influencer partnerships for paid and organic programs.
- Assist in managing seeding program for media specific opportunities – including but not limited to: database management, list building, kit production and physical kitting/shipping.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years work experience in public relations or communications required
- Knowledgeable in social platforms including Instagram/Twitter/Facebook/YouTube/TikTok
- Strong verbal and written communication skills -- ability to effectively communicate ideas
- Strong network of existing media relationships in and around youth culture / sneaker culture
- Great time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Interest and passion for sneakers and sports, a must
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
