Manager, Integrated Campaign Planning
The Manager, Engagement Planning champions the Engagement Planning approach and knows how to apply Engagement Planning services to solve client business problems. They ensure that Consumer Journeys, Measurement Plans and Communication Plans are included in every integrated program.
They understand agency operations and are a key driver in keeping those operations moving along efficiently and profitably while leading the execution of Engagement Planning services.
They have sound judgment and the ability to implement, add to and/or evolve Planning strategies and program plans.
The Manager, Engagement Planning, provides guidance and director to more junior teammates on how to execute our services, including project definition and scoping, risk management, project management direction, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 25% time be the organizational center of projects tied to Engagement Planning services – manage projects, problem solve, and lead flawless execution.
- 15% time Collaborates with subject matter experts at appropriate times to ensure consensus around scoping, project approach, etc. Successfully communicates and represents clients’ interests to the team (managing up and down).
- 15% time Proactively steward the development and communication of solutions to clients’ business problems, including facilitating the development of program briefs with senior team, strategic planner, and analysts.
- 15% time Provides direction to junior members of the team as it relates to training on our services, program management, quality control, and career growth.
- 10% time Track program financials, including project budgets and scopes, assessing estimates to actuals, and recalibrating or escalating as necessary.
- 10% time Advocates for the business internally, and keeps the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business.
- 10% time Contributes to identification and generation of business development opportunities with new or existing clients and playing a supporting role in our response efforts. Proactively identifies evolution of services and the development of new services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience evolving and executing against a consumer journey, communications plan, and measurement plan across touchpoints such as: social media, influencer marketing, websites, CRM, etc.
- Advanced knowledge and thought leadership regarding the social media landscape, digital trends and innovations, most popular platforms and trusted online marketing tools
- Ability to think and act strategically, with a measurement-first mindset.
- Develops budgets independently and/or in conjunction with other team members.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying and proposing enhanced ways to advance team, group, agency and client interests.
- Operates with a high degree of independence, but knows when to rely on own judgment and when to seek advice of supervisor and other team members.
- Applies sound judgment in anticipating and taking action to avoid many workplace and client issues and problems.
- Demonstrates proficiency in managing agency and client resources: people, time and money.
- Able to develop first drafts of documents and presentations with minimal edits.
- A demonstrated capability in managing subordinates
- A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in IMC settings.
- Ability to influence others – e.g. selling agency services to existing and potential clients.
Decision Making – Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business or operational decisions that affect the department.
Problem Solving – Problems are highly varied, complex and often non-recurring, requiring novel and creative approaches to resolution. New concepts and approaches may have to be developed.
Independence of Action – Results are defined; sets own goals and determine how to accomplish results with some guidelines. Supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Supervisory Responsibilities – Has the authority to direct the employee’s daily work activities. Has authority to undertake or recommend the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.
Fiscal Responsibility – Budget - Assist in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
Internal and External Contacts – Has frequent contact with others outside of workgroup, both inside and outside Acosta. Results have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, PR, or related fields
- 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience of Integrated Project Management, Planning Services, Problem solving
- 1 to 3 years’ experience Supervisory/Management
