Position Summary

Serve as the engine room of the MAC Global Social Media owned/earned ecosystem, owning content management, scheduling, community management & creator identification, collaborating on measurement & analysis, and assisting broadly on both Global social media and influencer marketing strategy and execution. Critically, you will be responsible for driving cultural relevancy across emerging social platforms including Tiktok, through both owned social content & creator partnerships.

Global Social Strategy

  • Collaborate with Manager, Global Social Media in social strategy development for each program launch across categories, inputting to Global toolkits as required.
  • Work in partnership with key cross functional teams to brainstorm content and programming opportunities to support key brand moments.
  • Provide recommendations and input on owned social asset usage and/or requests for each program/activation on CRQs.

Content management, scheduling, and quality assurance across all global social platforms

  • Lead on maintenance of Global social calendar across multiple channels. Ensure regular updates are made and relevant documentation and information is shared across all relevant cross functional teams.
  • Own Tikok execution, including iterative programming in tight collaboration with Global creative team to ensure trend-led, turnkey execution.
  • Lead on Instagram Grid orchestration.
  • Collect usage rights and organize user generated content for posting across social channels.
  • Partner with cross-functional Creative teams to provide relevant messaging guidance and information related to social content calendar.
  • Upload/schedule/post assets, including photos and videos, with corresponding copy on global social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) May require posting on weeknights, weekends, holidays.
  • Verify all assets, copy and tags are correctly formatted and accurate prior to posting. Follow up with Creative team and request edits/corrections as needed. Test and trouble shoot click tags to ensure functionality prior to posting.
  • Partner with relevant cross-functional teams to support execution of Instagram Lives.

Community Management & Customer Service

  • Daily monitoring across owned social channels for awareness of inquiries/comments/sentiment. Provide regular reporting to marketing team and cross functional partners.
  • Lead on TikTok community-building commenting strategy, in collaboration with Global editorial team.
  • Manage internal relationship and communication with Online Customer Service team responsible for direct responses to consumers. Serve as point of contact to provide brand updates related to program launches, activations, promotions, etc.
  • Provide Online Customer Service team with brand guidance and suggested response for escalated comments and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Regional, and/or Local teams that are and/or will be involved with community management, ensuring daily monitoring and timely responses (either in English or translated by Local Market teams).

Social Media Measurement & Platform Analysis

  • Partner with Manager, Global Social Media to collect data and gather insights to create weekly and ad-hoc social media reports to measure performance. Analyze insights, highlights trends and make recommendations based on data.
  • Lead on TikTok analytics and reporting as specialist in this emerging space, with the ability to weave a story crafted by data & analysis.
  • Responsible for keeping a pulse on competitor activity and what’s trending on emerging social platforms, communicating and sharing those trends with internal teams, and finding creative opportunities to interpret them in the MAC brand voice.
  • Identify issues, patterns and trends in consumer comments/inquiries and funnel information to the appropriate departments with recommended response.

Influencer Marketing Support

  • Maintain an understanding of the overall influencer landscape and functionality related to each social media platform (i.e., TikTok, Instagram & YouTube in priority order). Research and stay up to date on top tier influencer brand partnerships and monitor competitive partnerships regularly. Share updates to leadership as requested.
  • Identify relationship building opportunities on channel of priority (TikTok), entering conversation, and driving product seeding to build groundwell on the platform.
  • Serve as the point of contact for regional Influencer functions as well as product ordering, product sends, and product seeding ideation.
  • Partner with cross-functional and working teams on execution of influencer activations (i.e. virtual events) by managing travel arrangements, budgeting, asset delivery, and market correspondence.
  • Support the ideation, strategy, execution, and reporting on influencer collaborations globally, regionally, and at the market level with recaps, assessment, and consolidated learnings.
  • Provide insight and point of view on all brand launches from an influencer perspective to deliver best in class earned media results across social platforms.
  • Support completion of Global Brand Guidelines for each program launch across category.
  • Maintain global influencer list that is succinct with brand objectives, messaging, and overall aesthetic to successfully drive brand awareness.
  • Research and identify new categories of influencer relationship building to expand network consistently.
  • Utilize brand influencer analytic tools for reporting (Tribe), by identifying success metrics for each influencer campaign and ensuring best accuracy of both global & regional tracking. Present to cross functional teams and leadership as needed.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years related experience, e.g., managing community outreach, building brand advocacy.
  • TikTok native - you understand social media inside and out as an avid user of all platforms.
  • Excellent communication, writing and quantitative skills.
  • Experience working with content management tools and/or social media analytics tools a plus.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced highly creative environment.
  • Project management skills including scheduling and timelines, budgeting, and communications.
  • Understanding of how to create “brand appropriate (non-corporate) voice” in social media to build authentic, relevant, interactive consumer relationships.
  • Ability to navigate among multiple constituents, platforms, and communities to ensure strategies/goals are understood and met.
  • Capability to work with regional and local teams with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, “can do” team player, working well with other teams/departments in a cross-functional environment.
  • Beauty industry experience a plus.
  • Influencer/Media PR background a plus.
  • Community management experience, particularly with a global brand’s Instagram account, a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred.
