Favely (favely.com, beta) is an upcoming re-brand of our popular influencer marketing platform used by thousands of brands. Favely's mission is to create greater alignment between influencers and brands through a performance-based compensation system designed specifically for creator marketing.

Each of our services emphasizes community collaboration, incorporating micro-incentives and gamification to engage our members and motivate the creation and sharing of content that ultimately helps shoppers. We see blockchain as a key enabler to drive greater community engagement and alignment of economic incentives between our apps and users and will be building in support for social tokens, NFTs and other vehicles to push economic value and control to the edges of our networks.

We're looking for an accomplished growth marketing leader to lead our growth function at an executive level. For us, far beyond a cold start, growth marketing is adding fuel to our product set which is already growing organically. We have thriving communities and product-market fit built on strong UX and gamification principles - we're looking for the right leader who can come in, understand the landscape of our products, and help us accelerate growth. You should be a quantitative, data-oriented technical marketer with a strong creative sense and branding instinct. You will collaborate with the executive team to conceive, design and execute our growth strategy from the ground up, building a strong team of ICs across content marketing, performance, creative, and analytics domains. You'll report directly to the CEO and be a key voice informing strategy at a product and company level.

A note on who we are: We're a distributed global company operating e-commerce apps which facilitate over a billion dollars in annual transaction volume. Our local team in LA is a small team comprised primarily of executives and team leads overseeing product, design, engineering and marketing strategy. We've been in business for over a decade and we operate as a financial partnership with each executive allocated a profit share in the business, typically translating to 200% to 300% market rate compensation with tenure.

What you'll do:

  • Create end-to-end growth strategies for each of our properties and execute across paid, organic, influencer and other growth channels.
  • Each of our products has specific social dynamics, community mission, and competitive landscape. You'll develop an understanding of the gamification / engagement / sharing architecture for each app then design and execute a growth strategy suited to each product.
  • You'll work across a range of growth contexts, spanning from download-oriented app / extension marketing to a bottom-up SaaS service targeting small businesses and creators to growing a blockchain-based discussion community based around a social token.
  • You'll build a team of talented, passionate, detail-oriented ICs handling content, social, creative, performance, and analytics.
  • You'll define clear, impactful OKRs for yourself and your team that drive growth across the company and align to company-wide OKRs.
  • You'll collaborate closely with your counterpart leadership in SEO, retention, UX, product and engineering to define and execute growth strategies that deliver clear results and scale over time.
  • You'll continuously explore and brainstorm new levers and opportunities for growth and embed yourself in our lean UX process to collaboratively take new ideas from experimentation, data collection to scaling through rapid iteration.
  • You'll keep abreast of developing concepts around gamification, incentive programs, and emerging web3 technologies such as social tokens, digital wallets and NFTs, and incorporate the latest themes in your overall strategic thinking around growth.
  • You'll create a cohesive brand strategy for each of our products, analyzing the competitive landscape, relative positioning, core benefits, and community strategy to inform and craft a messaging framework and brand voice that can be translated to relatable concepts and memes and distributed widely and efficiently.
  • You'll create in-depth personas informed by first hand research (which you'll drive along with our UX team) and internal and external data.
  • You'll setup instrumentation and visualization dashboards to construct, expose and monitor LTV, CAC, ROAS, and ROI metrics.
  • You'll run influencer marketing campaigns to accelerate velocity of our word-of-mouth campaigns.

About you:

  • You have 7+ years in growth marketing, most recently at a Director+ level, developing end-to-end growth strategies, building executive consensus for growth, and building and leading growth teams.
  • You're extremely ambitious and you're looking for a incredibly challenging role running growth across a portfolio of complex, feature-rich products involving emerging technology and riding leading-edge trends in e-commerce like voice, AR / MR and decentralization.
  • You're ready to take on an executive role where you will be at the table for major strategic decisions and you'll have a voice in the future direction of our products as well as management decisions impacting the company.
  • You want to work at a small company with a lean startup approach which prizes continuous experimentation, rapid iteration, agile development and an innovation mindset.
  • You want to work at a mission-driven company that focuses on solving real-world problems for users at scale, while being close to those users through continuous feedback and community engagement.
  • You want to be part of a close-knit, fast moving team of highly passionate and collaborative professionals, all focused on common goals with aligned incentives. You prefer collaboration over hierarchy and politics.
  • You should have deep competence in paid marketing, content marketing, social content creation and viral loops, and analytics and instrumentation. You should be natively capable of diving into these areas at an IC level while also having the experience and insight to zoom out and direct at a strategic level.
  • You should have ancillary fluency in SEO, CRM, CRO and UX to collaborate with domain experts to develop a comprehensive growth strategy that plugs into the overall company strategy.

About the job:

  • Base salary: $175K to $250K DOE (open to current Director, Sr. Director and VP levels)
  • Profit sharing program: $25k to $50K in first year (paid monthly), increasing roughly 25% thereafter based on performance
