About This Opportunity
Herman Miller’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As a Social Media Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work across MillerKnoll Brands. You will be responsible for the R&D of various parts of the social media strategy including influencer marketing, user-generated content, community management, and research and expansion to social media platforms.

- Publish content across multiple social channels within MillerKnoll.
- Explore expansion on platforms such as TikTok or YouTube.
- Research and analyze global social trends and how to apply them to the brands.
- Source content that can be used across brands (UGC, archival content).
- Assist with community management and influencer relations across brands.
- Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project which will be presented to senior-level executives.
- Attain on-the-job work experience that is aligned with career objectives.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.
- Perform tasks related to the degree program as assigned by the work team leader.

- Proficient in recognizing how social media platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok work.
- Curious about culture, social media trends, social communities, and enjoy applying those learnings to marketing opportunities.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and brands at one time.
- Able to work well with and develop a partnering relationship with other team members.
- Enrolled and pursuing a 4-year bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field and must be from an accredited college or university.
- You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
- Ability to provide college transcripts upon request.
- Must have satisfactorily completed basic coursework in the chosen degree program.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
