Job Overview:
The Style Crew Program Director is responsible for oversight of the unique and exciting Macy’s ambassador program that serves as our authentic voice in communicating style to our customers. The director will serve as the face of the of the program to our colleagues and external Macy’s brand enthusiasts. The Style Crew Program is re-launching and will designed to enable commerce and customer engagement.
This position will manage a team of 4 specialists and skillfully lead and influence across many departments within the organization and external partners. The Style Crew Director will serve as the main line of communication to partners and stakeholders supporting the strategic vision and the day-to-day operations. They will establish a compelling program strategy, objectives, and success metrics while creating, monitoring, and maintaining an efficient and effective process of delivering best in class execution and engagement of the Style Crew program.
Essential Functions:
Program Development & Management
- Oversee all weekly communication to Style Crew Ambassadors, delivering inspiration with ideas/concepts to better showcase personal style in social media, while aligning with company priorities
- Maintain communication with leadership and business stakeholders that support the program such as Merchandising, Stores, Digital Product, Media Strategy and Comms Planning, HR, Legal
- Partner with Digital Product and Merchandising teams to identify strategic opportunities and align KPIs
- Partner with Learning and Development to ensure training stays fresh and is being utilized
- Conduct consistent check ins to ensure legal compliance amongst ambassadors
- Maintain customer facing communication strategy in partnership with key stakeholders in media, account services and communication planning
Strategic Planning
- Utilize the customer insights and editorial calendar to create compelling content plans in partnership with key stakeholders
- Lead seasonal and quarterly planning session that support key program needs: such as incentives, ambassador engagement, training, marketing communications, technology support/enhancements
- Lead quarterly planning with social platform leadership for insights and resourcing opportunities
- Identify and activate on opportunities to continually improve and innovate the program that supports the company long term vision
Team
- Inspire core team every day to pursue new ideas and be the best they can be
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure proper training, motivation, and development for all Style Crew Ambassadors
Reporting & Financial Oversight
- Conduct monthly performance reviews that include revenue metrics, program engagement, and overall program health
- Lead ongoing discussions with analytics partners and key stakeholders to consistently pull-out critical insights
- Ensure all financial resources are driving growth and objectives
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
- 8 years management experience in a large, complex organization.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership, peers, and colleagues proactively and effectively across all levels of management.
- Solution orientated; capable of independently solving complex problems with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to leverage data, think creatively and act strategically while maintaining a focus on detailed issues.
- Experience in managing influencer marketing and/or ambassador programs .
- Strong understanding of social media marketing strategy and the entire social marketing mix – paid, organic, owned and earned.
- Experience and understanding of digital site analytics and ability to pull out insights for planning
- Consistently on top of digital, social media and ecommerce trends.
- Entrepreneurial spirit that constantly thinks about creating innovative, nontraditional ways to improve.
