Job Overview:

The Macy’s Style Crew represents a passionate community of ambassadors that express their style through social media to connect and inspire our customers. This program celebrates ambassador individuality and unique perspectives on Macy’s products, brands, and causes.

The Strategy Specialist will be passionate about social media and its impact on customer engagement. They will support the newly re-launched program and long-term growth plans that connect to our enterprise goals. This position will collaborate across many internal departments and with external partners to develop ongoing strategic content ideation for ambassadors routed in customer insights and social trends. They will partner with stakeholders to develop all materials needed for creative work to begin and ensure communication meets strategic goals.

Essential Functions:

• Lead monthly editorial planning for ambassadors with key stakeholders including merchandising, brand, and social teams

• Lead development of customer communication briefing materials for creative, media, and brand partners to ensure clear messaging of the program and connection to broader Macy’s objectives and strategies

• Utilize internal communication tool (MAS) to deliver briefing materials for creative

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop weekly ambassador communication packages that incorporate the company editorial calendar and style narratives

• Ensure ambassador video/ photography shoots are planned and will meet the needs of the communication strategy

• Lead development of strategy and storytelling concepts for each shoot, inclusive of creative brief and ambassador recruitment.

• Partner with Macy’s LIVE teams for ambassador integration, training needs, and content strategy

• Support the development of program growth and social commerce opportunities and overall integration of Style Crew content throughout the customer journey.

Education Requirements

Education Level Description: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree

Years of Experience

Years of Experience: 3 Years

Comments: 3-5 years experience in social media or marketing strategy at retailer or agency

Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

• 3-5 years experience in social media or marketing strategy at retailer or agency

• Experience with influencer marketing and/or ambassador programs

• Ability to leverage data, think creatively, and act strategically

• Strong understanding of performance marketing analytics and ability to derive insights

• Consistently on top of digital, social media, and e-commerce trends

• Excited about experimenting and trying new solutions

• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to deliver wins in cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
