JOB DESCRIPTION: Community Manager

JOB LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ

The Community Manager role will take ownership of all community channel communications & programs for Sunday Goods. The successful candidate will have a strong background of working with digital and social channels, plus have a love for all things Cannabis, of course! This person must live in Arizona to be qualified.

The Community Manager will report to the Sunday Goods Brand Manager and collaborate with our Creative & Retail Marketing Manager to grow and manage our online & offline community.

In this role, you’ll drive content creation to build brand voice and persona with marketing efforts across all social media channels & web through the planning, creation, and execution of social content; someone who is a storytelling expert, has a Cannabis & Lifestyle consumer-first mindset, while being very detail-oriented and highly collaborative. A love of content creation and an eye for UGC and feed aesthetics is a must. You will have proven experience creating impactful and high-engaging content cross-platforms including Instagram (Reel, Stories), while exploring new channels for Sunday Goods to grow our reach not just within Cannabis but across other lifestyle industries. This person has a natural passion for social media and therefore consumer and social trends.

You must excel in community management/customer support, engaging in creative social media and digital work across planning, strategy, media and storytelling. Ideally the candidate must have experience in a start-up culture and Cannabis. The objective of this role is to drive community engagement, acquisition, brand awareness, and demand for Sunday Goods.

Who you are:

• You have a passion for the cannabis community and truly connect with the Sunday Goods brand. You have a strong pulse on the Arizona cannabis industry as a whole and have endless creative ideas to improve the online & offline social experience.

• You are a jack of all trades and copy writing is your strong suit. You love being on the ground floor and can manage an array of projects ranging from digital marketing campaigns, promotions, communications, in-store & community events, influencer management, etc.

• An intuitive eye for community-first content with the drive to take current cultural trends/events and implement them quickly to help grow our channels. You are able to take social trends you identify and implement them into branded content.

• You’re a self-starter, meaning you are proactive, solve problems you see in front of you and do not wait to be told what to work on. You have a high standard for your work product, appreciate autonomy and having space to get your work done.

• You are highly organized and your communication standards are professional, succinct, and punctual...but you’re able to add a cheeky voice and tone for all copy writing.

• You don’t mind working retail hours – this could mean holidays, weekends, and late evenings as needed for branded events to pull content.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, execute communicate all Sunday Goods product promotions, in-store programming, and events with overall brand strategy direction from the Brand Manager.
  • Own digital communication channels such to drive brand awareness, growth & relationships including but not limited to: social, branded blogs, community support platform, company monthly newsletter copy and all branded copy listings.
  • Own creation of content cross-platforms through monthly calendar, uploading and organization of assets.
  • Support brand community events to report & post for our social channels in real-time and recaps.
  • Develop and manage influencer program strategy and partnerships and build mutually beneficial opportunities for success, awareness, and sales.
  • Measure and report metrics on all social initiative activity effectiveness on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Have a pulse on competition and research and formulate ways to improve the in-store and patient experience.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Creative Writing, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in marketing, ecommerce, retail marketing, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading results-oriented retail marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Must have experience with social & influencer management, creation and events is a plus.
  • Experience working in the Cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Analytical skills and ability to deliver a compelling actionable narrative for all managing channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation creation and delivery skills for internal and key partner facing audiences.
  • Team player with ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
