The Coordinator, Regional Marketing will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Global Marketing Plan across the geographic area they are assigned. In addition, they will provide input into the development of local / regional marketing strategies in support of the Global Marketing Plan. They will enable basket expansion by accelerating local item growth, optimizing regional promotions; driving early growth through new store openings and an enhanced shopping experience; or driving relevance through cultivation of influencer relationships. This role will look for opportunities to scale to the local / regional level where possible.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing the Global Marketing Plan in their area(s) of focus (Category/Promo, Store Experience or Community Engagement & Events) within the geographic area.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to marketing teams located in regional offices to effectively execute on the global marketing plan and provide ongoing feedback and results.
  • Budget management and forecasting within their area of responsibility. Regularly reports to senior leadership on financial status, issues and recommendations.
  • Train and develop direct reports. Advises, mentors and counsels Team Members in terms of individual development, job performance, professional growth and career opportunity. Monitors performance of team to drive / ensure successful achievement of established objectives.

Category/Promo

Role-specific deliverables:

  • Drive regional promotions looking for opportunities for scale
  • Drive high-value local items through in-store tactics
  • Provide assessments of promotional and local item activity, driving for a positive ROI and basket expansion

Store Experience:

  • Develop strategy and plans for new store openings. Capture learning to codify and leverage best practices and benchmarks.
  • Performs as the team expert for in-store marketing – working with the Global Marketing Team to test, learn and build. Takes a store-wide view in their thinking, understanding the customer shopping journey and how to grow their total basket.
  • On point for competitive incursions plan implementation.

Community Engagement & Events

  • Develop strategic and sustaining relationships with key local influencers. Scale to the Area level where possible.
  • Partner with the Global Team to develop and implement a system to vet and engage/partner with non-profit organizations.
  • Develop strategy and plans for in-store events. Capture learning to codify and leverage best practices and benchmarks.
  • Train and support Team Members who lead Community Engagement for their store.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

2-4 years’ leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree

Experience in focus area– preferably with a retailer. (6-8 years).

Travel including overnight trips may be required.
