Position:

Blingy is seeking a highly motivated, target-driven PR intern to join our team. You will be working to plan and implement the company’s PR strategies and humanize our brand through managing communications with external brands and reaching out to potential partners. You will also be working with the marketing team to develop and implement online marketing strategies to build brand awareness and increase user acquisition.

Ideal candidates are both creative and strategic, with experience in the fields of public relations, marketing, and communication, who have an appreciation for mobile application and the beauty industry. This is an amazing opportunity to own our social presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts and build brand value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit press releases, contributed articles, media and analyst pitches to boost coverage and awareness.
  • Monitor media coverage and report results.
  • Plan & execute press events around product launches.
  • Establish and manage relationships with journalists, reporters, and influencers.
  • Develop brand ambassador and influencer partnership programs.
  • Influencer research and outreach: find potential influencers that fit the needs of the products.
  • Media pitch to digital channels and increase company media coverage.
  • Perform all assigned duties that include but are not limited to email marketing, analytics, copywriting, public outreach, press release circulation, media outlet interaction.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or other relevant fields with an accredited college or university.
  • Proven public relations experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of PR and communication strategies.
  • Passion for the beauty and the technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing and ambassador programs preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear and engaging press releases.
  • Ability to identify partnership opportunities and develop successful relationships.
  • Solid understanding of the different social networks and platforms.
  • Self-sufficient, resourceful, and detailed.
