Do you spend hours scrolling social and know all the trending videos/sounds/memes before all your friends? First Aid Beauty, a top skincare brand in Sephora and Ulta, is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to lead organic social media and consumer engagement for the brand. The Social Media Manager will develop strategy, source content and write copy for organic social channels—with a focus on TikTok and Instagram—to help to tell the brand story in a fun and engaging way. This person will also oversee the brand’s social commerce initiatives. We are looking for a social media expert who is creative, strategic, nimble, enthusiastic about the beauty space, and can hit the ground running. This position will oversee a community manager and report to the Director of Consumer Engagement.

First Aid Beauty is currently working remotely but will soon return to a hybrid model in our Newton, MA, office. We will consider candidates in Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Cincinnati.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead organic social media strategy, including growth/engagement on existing platforms and staying on top of new platforms and trends
  • Own the development and execution of First Aid Beauty’s social media content calendar, including writing captions in the brand voice, drafting creative briefs and identifying UGC to feature on brand channels (mainly Instagram and TikTok, with some activity on Twitter and Facebook).
  • Lead the brand’s social commerce initiatives, including working with platform partners to best optimize our strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to come up with 360-degree product launch plans and work with E-Commerce Team to ensure support for site promos
  • Work closely with Influencer Marketing team to integrate influencer content into our social media strategy and collaborate on ways to leverage influencer partnerships to build brand engagement
  • Work with Creative Team to develop custom campaign assets for new launches and hero products to be used by First Aid Beauty and retail partners
  • Monitor social media channels, perform social listening and share insights with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Paid Media team on efforts to grow followers and to share performance insights from organic content that could be applied for paid assets
  • Manage Community Engagement Coordinator and help set direction on how we respond to and engage with consumers on social.
  • Stay current on all social media platform updates and make recommendations on how to best optimize brand channel performance
  • Track social media analytics and present monthly reports on brand social media performance and competitor activity

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred in Marketing, English, PR or related field)
  • 3-8 years of fulltime social media/content strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passionate about social media with 3+ years of social media experience, including content development (copy + visual), social analytics and community management
  • Passion for the beauty industry and knowledge of the beauty landscape on social
  • Social commerce experience a plus
  • Deep knowledge of and interest in the ever-changing social media landscape
  • Strong visual aesthetic and ability to understand what makes compelling content
  • Excellent copywriting and communications skills
  • Creative thinker/planner who is not afraid to suggest out-of-the-box ideas
  • Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Flexible to evolving responsibilities in a fast-growing company
