Groupon is seeking a Social Media Specialist to elevate the company’s brand presence across our social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook and Tik Tok. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to Groupon’s social media channels as we take our presence to the next level. Major responsibilities include daily management of postings, active Community engagement, monitoring of conversations with consumers and influencers, and experimentation and evaluation of new platform tools and processes.

  • Assist in administration of the global social media management system to include building social performance reports, monitoring dashboards and account governance
  • Leverage social listening tools to identify and act on opportunities to engage proactively and surface early warning signs
  • Build brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers and high-reach fans on social media channels
  • Monitor ongoing social and cultural conversations to identify and implement real-time opportunities, while collaborating with other teams as appropriate
  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure adherence to best practices and the optimal customer experience is being delivered
  • Manage social calendar and share out with key stakeholders for visibility of upcoming campaigns
  • Work with creative team on campaign and asset trafficking and scheduling
  • Manage social editorial calendar and lead publishing of all social media content on NA owned channels
  • Stay informed on the constantly evolving social media and influencer landscape, spotting industry and cultural trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

We're Excited About You If You Have

  • A strong grasp of social media platforms, etiquette, and emerging trends
  • At least 2 years of experience in social media or brand marketing
  • A high-energy self-starter with natural curiosity
  • Experience with social and influencer analytics platforms like Sprinklr or Dash Hudson (or similar tool)
  • Ability to use social media as a predictor of market trends and consumer behavior
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a wide variety of projects at a given time
  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience writing and editing for social channels, and managing editorial calendars (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably
