POSITION SUMMARY:

Social Media is an environment of constant change where brands not only speak the language of their followers but also understand the value of building strong communities. We are looking for a passionate and talented Social Media pioneer to help us redefine Social Media, grow our Social Media marketing activities and further develop the SIXT brand in the USA. The ideal candidate will take our Social Media activities to the next level with smart, witty, and well-executed day-to-day publishing, engaging community management, as well as organic and paid campaigns that make SIXT remarkable and positively inspire our audiences. This role is based in Fort Lauderdale and will closely work with the marketing and creative teams to exceed the high expectations of our customers and turn them into fans of our brand.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content

  • You are the Subject Matter Expert and first point of contact for content planning, development, and creation (copywriting/image sourcing/photography & videography) for our (audio-)visual channels in the USA, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and others.
  • You manage agencies and service providers and are responsible for the implementation and further development of our social media strategy.
  • You implement national and international campaigns in coordination with the global team.
  • You create and optimize the editorial plans for the above-mentioned channels and campaigns.
  • You look for brand appropriate, community-created content with the mindset to chime in/engage with it to maintain and broaden the brand’s voice across all social channels.
  • You monitor competitors and stay apprised of latest trends to implement them for our brand.
  • You ensure profiles, backgrounds, logos, links, etc. are all actively maintained and updated.

Community & Influencers

  • You optimize the community management and the direct exchange with users.
  • You respond to messages and brand mentions and engage with fan communities across multiple platforms daily, including brand advocates, critics, and customers.
  • You identify and consistently monitor target audiences, analyze fan sentiment and platforms, and review posts mentioning our brand.
  • You initiate and moderate conversation to keep active, grow and nurture our audience.
  • You build a network and partnerships with influencers in the travel and automotive space and manage influencer collabs.
  • You steer and manage customer service responses on all respective platforms.

Efficiency

  • You manage extensive projects and vendors as well as respective budgets autonomously.
  • You create and process analyses and reporting and derive learnings from them for optimization and share best practices with stakeholders and the team.
  • You get actively involved in new topics, participate in global team meetings, and collaborate internationally.
  • You utilize all tools provided (dirico, confluence, novomind, fb business manager etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are an innovative and proactive self-starter with a strong background in communication and a passion for all things social and digital.
  • You speak in hashtags, reposts and feeds. You think in communities and bring along a network of content creators and bloggers/vloggers and are eager to negotiate collaborations with influencers of tomorrow.
  • As a native English speaker, you understand the American culture and follow trending stories.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience, and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the online marketing landscape and digital brand building.
  • You are a creative copywriter and storyteller able to understand, adapt and execute the use of brand voice in collaboration with an agency.
  • A confident communicator with strong presentation skills, you can also set priorities, solve problems, be resourceful, implement extensive projects, and are open to international exchange.
  • An outstanding work ethic allows you to collaborate and take initiative, meet deadlines, think outside the box and switch gears on the fly in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Your advanced knowledge of the social media spectrum ranges from best practices to managing all relevant social media platforms and their functions, including social scheduling applications, content management systems and/or online analytical or reporting tools for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Yelp, LinkedIn.
  • You demonstrate excellent PC and Windows computer skills and are fully adept in MS Office and experienced with photography and/or videography; motion graphic skills and Adobe Suite are a plus.
  • You must be able to work 40 hours per week and work flexible hours/days of week or weekend if needed.
  • You are able to travel by plane/car domestically and internationally and enjoy working with cars and people.
  • Occasional moving/staging of vehicles and participation in events require a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • You are fluent in English; ability to communicate in other languages (Spanish, German, etc.) is a plus.
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
