Senior Strategist (Food & Beverage Clients)
This role is open to be based from: Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA
Edible Inc, a specialized food and beverage agency within the Daniel J. Edelman Holdings (DJE) family of companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategist to join our growing team.
Founded in 2014, Edible is focused entirely on the culture, tastes and business of a rapidly changing food and beverage industry. As part of the Edible US team, you will join a close-knit, collaborative network of food-obsessed communication leaders – including strategists, creatives, media specialists and influencer experts, who come together to help our clients solve business challenges, build trust and shape culture.
We are currently seeking a Senior Strategist with experience developing business and communication strategies for clients. We’re looking for someone who brings a deeply rooted passion for food culture into the audience insight discovery process. This role is for you if you want to do industry-leading work that earns attention and inspires conversation.
Who you are:
- Food-obsessed
- A consummate culture-watcher
- A geek about human psychology and behavior
What your daily life will be at Edelman:
- Your days will be filled with going down knowledge rabbit holes, asking ‘why’ and thinking about how to solve problems in ways no one has thought of before.
- Doing Research – Researching at Edible can take you anywhere from using our plethora of data tools from MRI to NewsWhip to social listening to trawling Amazon reviews, discussion boards or qual focus groups but we expect you to want to soak up as much information as possible and stay on top of all the trends.
- Developing Insights – It’s so important for you as the strategy person on your team to simmer with the data and craft compelling cultural or consumer insights to inspire your creatives, earned and client counterparts to make work that will resonate with culture.
- Solving with Strategy – On top of your insights, you’ll want to help create plans, frameworks and blueprints to mold your insights to reality, e.g. strategic frameworks, creative briefs.
- Collaborating with People – This is probably one of the most important things you will be doing to make sure all your hard work above is being properly shared with the rest of your team and it’s you and your manager’s job to help to package and translate it to them.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience related to strategy, account planning, research or creative
Extra credit points if you have any of the following:
- Prior experience working with food & beverage clients.
- You have exposure to earned media, PR, creative or integrated agency environments.
