About the Role
The Head of Paid is responsible for the leadership, management and performance of Power Digital’s Paid services, including Google, Facebook, Amazon, Programmatic and CTV. The leaders of these departments will report directly to the Head of Paid, which may vary from Director level to VP level. This person is responsible for the business units within Paid and each of their performances to hit P&L goals through revenue growth and client retention. This person works closely with the Product Innovation team to continue to elevate service offerings across the organization as well as the nova team to maximize product and analytics quality for clients. As a leader within the company, this person’s main responsibility lies within Paid, but is not limited to the Paid departments. Being part of the Power leadership team means making an impact across all departments and working with other department heads to grow the business as a whole.
Core Responsibilities
1. Management & Leadership of Paid Teams
- Management of Paid leadership team across Google, Facebook, Amazon, CTV and Programmatic
- Coaching and development of senior leaders
- Mentorship of rising stars within Paid departments
- Shaping and continuously working to support culture of growth mindset, innovation and autonomy within departments
- Oversight of Department P&Ls
- Employee retention across Paid departments
2. Paid Channel Product Quality
- Standardizing how we do deliverables, reporting, campaign optimizations
- Product Innovation: working with Innovation team across Google, Facebook, Amazon, Programmatic/CTV
- Training oversight across Paid departments to ensure product quality and consistency
3. Enterprise Paid Account Oversight
- Consistent pulse on top 25 accounts across Paid departments and client retention
- Supporting in the development of how we structure teams as we continue to move up market
Other Key Responsibilities
- Follow management processes of the Directors/VPs within Paid departments
- Lead weekly 1:1s with direct reports and monthly 1:1s, set Vital 5 and Hedgehog with direct reports and pace quarterly to help them reach their goals
- Have tough conversations and give direct feedback
- Develop Managers to follow manager processes including effective 1:1 coaching, and career pathing
- Provide raise and promotion recommendations across Directors and their subsequent pods
- Support in recruitment and hiring as last interview for key roles within Paid departments as well as within key leadership positions across the organization
- Work closely with Earned Media department leaders to bridge service offerings
- As the Paid team grows, continuously look for new role opportunities for internal promotions or external hires
- Look for holes in efficiencies, process and deliverables across Paid teams and support Paid leadership in finding solutions and improving product
Requirements
- 10+ years of digital marketing experience with an emphasis on Paid performance channels
- In-depth knowledge of customer lifecycles, marketing funnels, flywheels, etc.
- Previous experience with managing teams of strategists and managers
- Previous experience with large sets of campaigns and clients
- In-depth knowledge of performance marketing (tactics, channels, measurement, etc.)
