The Nuts and Bolts: Manager, Social Media
Our clientis looking for a detail-oriented, experienced social media professional to help develop campaigns for our upcoming slate of original series and films. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Organic Social Strategy, this position will contribute to the management of social accounts and help develop content, social media stunts and influencer marketing. The Manager also will collaborate with marketing, PR, synergy, programming and legal teams across our brand and our parent company. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for growing brands and cultivating audiences, all while having a firm grasp on how to acquire and retain subscribers.
The Daily
- Develop and manage title film, series and docs social media campaigns while partnering with Creative and Growth Marketing teams on initiatives
- Publish content to social platforms, like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
- Manage agencies and the operations associated with these external partners, including assistance at marketing shoots and event coverage
- Partner with team members to conceive and create evergreen content that augment title campaigns
- Leverage zeitgeist conversation and encourage fan and talent engagement through content and community management
- Co-lead and maintain our content calendar, working directly with social team members and cross-functional partners
- Develop and operate a rigorous QA program for all social media content we published
- Leverage performance insights and social listening data to refine publishing, content and community management strategies
- Maintain our commitment to journalistic integrity across all profiles
- Identify industry insights and trends to define and refine channel approach
- Effectively supervise junior staff, providing direction, managing workflow, and overseeing skill development
The Essentials
- 3-5 years of experience developing social marketing campaigns for films, documentaries and/or series at an impactful subscription service, SVOD, digital publisher or media brand; management experience a plus
- Demonstration of outstanding creative and editorial judgment with the ability to collaboratively deliver feedback succinctly and effectively
- Proven track record of partnering with internal and external creative teams and working directly with talent to capture and develop social creative that exceeds KPIs
- Experience developing and maintaining new processes and operational systems, including quality assurance and production pipelines
- Experience with a full stack of social media tools, including platform and third-party analytics, social listening, publishing, and community management (i.e., Netbase, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, ListenFirst, Conviva, Sprinklr, HootSuite)
- An ability to think both creatively and strategically
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects, and within a matrixed reporting environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
