Masterworks Overview:

Masterworks is a fintech platform that allows anyone to invest in shares of SEC-qualified blue-chip paintings by names like Banksy, Monet, and Picasso. So far, we have raised over $400M across 100+ paintings from more than 350,000 users. This year, we expect to buy more than $1 billion in art, making us the largest buyer in the art market.

The business has more than 180 employees, and has been featured in major media publications such as The NY Times, CNBC, CNN, WSJ, and more. After becoming profitable in early 2020, just three years after being founded, Masterworks raised $110M in its Series A round with a valuation of over $1 billion.

With the exception of our tech team, all employees work in our offices at Brookfield Place in the Financial District of New York City.

Position Overview:

Masterworks is scaling 5x over the course of 2022 and expanding the marketing team to drive our growth. Our influencer marketing program has barely scratched the surface.You will be instrumental in helping build our network with hundreds of new partners.

We are seeking a Media Buyer to join our Media Ops team working closely with Media Planners to build hundreds of new influencer partnerships. A successful candidate will have exceptional drive to outreach to dozens of new partners each day, negotiating rates and closing deals for custom sponsorships. The role would be a member of the Media Ops team and work closely with media planners, other media buyers, and our Director of Media Ops.

Currently, our marketing team is approximately 25 people, with 9 people in media operations or business development.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Contact and follow up with a list of target influencers provided by Media Planners
  • Negotiate optimal rates and partnership structure using target CPM and CPL rates
  • Communicate partnership structure and aid Media Planners with campaign management

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in media buying, influencer marketing, growth marketing, sales, or similar fields
  • Experience using a CRM to organize prospect lists and do outreach
  • Familiarity with CreatorIQ, Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive is a plus
  • Passion for YouTube communities and influencers on Instagram and Twitter

Measurements of Success in First 90 Days:

  • Book paid promotions with 50 new influencer partners on YouTube, Instagram, or Twitter
  • Convert new users across all new partners at target CPL or lower
  • Contact every prospect at least once per day

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in the office in the NYC area
  • Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions
