You will own the sales process for the company: leading agency and client partner meetings, uncovering new opportunities, developing proposals with the team, and achieving winning results for advertisers. This role is perfect for a consultative seller who is passionate about coming up with the best solutions for advertisers, digs into every aspect of the account and stays up to date on latest trends. The ideal candidate creates innovative concepts for advertisers and embraces analytics too.Providing additional revenue opportunities for our Mediavine publishers, our Influencer Partnerships Team helps advertisers reach their target consumers through successful marketing campaigns using the influential voices of our 8500+ lifestyle bloggers & content creators. Mediavine is looking for an experienced Account Executive and Digital Sales Professional to join our growing Influencer Partnerships team! The position will have a primary responsibility of developing and maintaining a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to help grow new and existing business. Candidates must have a background in pitching and selling branded content programs, such as sponsored blog posts, SEO-friendly evergreen content, custom recipes, videos, and photography, along with engaging social media strategies to lifestyle brands and agencies. Preferably the candidate will also have a general understanding of programmatic and display advertising sales.Essential Responsibilities: Position the value of Mediavine's influencer partnership capabilities to brands and agencies Successfully negotiate sponsorship packages in the best interests of Mediavine and our publishers Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets by growing strategic advertising partnerships Develop and maintain a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads Establish and develop positive, lasting relationships with brands and agencies Demonstrate great communication and client services skills on a daily basis Identify customer needs and pain points and work with the Influencer Partnerships team, along with other internal teams, to effectively prescribe solutions and support Stay up-to-date on new or up-and-coming influencer marketing tactics and branded content solutions to keep Mediavine's program at the forefront of the industry Occasional Travel to industry conferences to meet and network with potential clients (Approx 15% travel) Lead client-facing meetings and presentations (in person and virtually) to present Mediavine's Brand Partnership offerings and proposals Develop new business through prospecting and own existing network of contacts Establish a deep understanding of our products, ideate strategic solutions based on client briefs, and put together proposal responses Additional Duties May Include: Effectively manage client accounts and relationships, ensuring that clients are kept apprised of campaign status Compile campaign reports Assist as needed with publisher communications Provide on-the-ground support for sponsors at annual Mediavine conferences Assist with building of sales materials, proposal decks, and campaign wrap reports RequirementsLocation: Applicants must be based in the United StatesYou Have: 3-5 Years of relevant online advertising sales experience; 2+ years experience within the blogging/influencer marketing industry preferred. Demonstrable understanding of brand-side influencer marketing needs; agency or brand experience preferred Experience pitching and closing contracts with well-known brands and/or agencies. Preferred experience with Lifestyle, CPG, and Retail brands Demonstrable understanding of influencers' needs and pain-points associated with sponsored work Experience attending blogging conferences and events highly valued Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills, with bonus points for working knowledge of Asana, Airtable, SalesForce Self-starter, high energy, inquisitive, strong attention to detail Bachelor's degree preferred, but real-life experience is highly valued Position is remote, however, Ideal candidate will live in a primary market in order to attend regular agency meetings (NY, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco) Benefits Remote work environment Travel opportunities (remember those!?)
