Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role will be responsible for managing communications that advance key internal & organizational brand awareness and increase customer, audience & stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, and cross-functional teams, you will set strategies to propel the Dropps story through consistent, on-brand messaging, calendars, content and strategy.
Responsibilities
Communications Management - External
- Develop and manage non-promotional consumer communications strategy and content calendar in partnership with marketing leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Work with Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Manager to own consumer resources to ensure a sound and aligned message across each touchpoint in the digital consumer journey.
- Partner with brand Public Relations Manager to align PR efforts to owned consumer communications including ongoing brand awareness, industry media relations, and new product communications.
- Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
Communications Management - Internal
- Keep internal teams and stakeholders aware of marketing goals and programs through consistent, clean internal communications.
- Manage internal marketing communications to publish timely company information, such as memos and engagement opportunities.
Content Management
- Build actionable cross-platform content roadmaps that serve as the backbone of content production and performance to support product launches, fuel awareness, search engine optimization, thought leadership, and partnership opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with paid marketing, creative and product teams to optimize content for conversion through tests and iterations.
- Develop a recommendation for high-priority content areas/themes for Dropps to own and win in.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology.
- Manages the Content & Brand Partnerships Specialist
Social Media Management
- Oversee Dropps' social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok.
- Strategize and execute on brand and influencer partnerships focused on brand awareness or customer acquisition.
- Keep a pulse on industry and social trends, and competitor's social presence & strategies.
- Make recommendations to ensure that Dropps' feeds stays fresh, engaging and relevant in a fast-changing, competitive landscape.
- Analyze social data/metrics and community insights to inform future brand strategies.
- Oversee social content calendars across multiple social media platforms, to schedule and push daily content across platforms (Instagram in-feed, Instagram stories, Facebook, and TikTok).
- Oversee graphic development work with internal & external resources for social media (in-feed and story) content using brand templates and style guides.
Brand Partnerships
- Develop brand partnership strategies focused on brand awareness or customer acquisition.
- Lead brand partnership calendar management, content planning, and strategy to drive new customer acquisition.
- Oversee the development of on-brand content to support brand partnerships including blogs, social, and email graphics.
Community Management
- Build and scale our brand ambassador program to promote brand awareness, merchandise products, and foster customer relationships.
- Work with our customer support team to ensure consumers have a great experience within each social media channel.
- Develop community engagement protocol through Dropps' brand voice to garner / strengthen relationships.
Other
- Leverage data-driven analytics to track KPI's and generate insights.
- Demonstrated excellence in prioritizing diversity and inclusion throughout marketing through words, visuals, and community engagement.
- Curiosity about the household cleaning & care category (i.e. the science between how products work, why they're developed, and how they're used).
Requirements
- Dedication to Dropps’ sustainability mission
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, agency, and/or marketing roles
- Curiosity about consumer products, including home care product category (i.e. the science between how products work, why they’re developed, and how they’re used)
- Proficient in content marketing theory and application with an understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), trends, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Experience in the influencer marketing space.
- Ability to interpret data, generate insights and recommend optimizations and new strategies.
- You are an exceptional writer and storyteller who can effectively engage an audience with content across multiple channels.
- Knowledge of design programs (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to prioritizing diversity and inclusion, as well as sustainability education throughout marketing through words, visuals, and community engagement.
- Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations): ability to use common office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse/touchpad, etc., ability to visually interpret images, ability to communicate with team members, attend virtual meetings, and travel for in-person meetings as applicable. This is a primarily stationary role at a desk (seated or standing, according to preference), so must be able to sustain sitting/standing for the majority of work time.
