The Social Media Content Strategist for Adorama is one part curator, and one part creator and is wildly passionate and curious about all forms of content production – from photography, videography, gaming, music, and more. The Social Media and Content Strategist plays an integral role on the Brand Marketing team in Adorama and will collaborate closely with Influencer Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Content production teams to create and publish social content in both short and long-form for Adorama. You will be part of a team who produces award-winning content and will contribute with your own creativity and deep knowledge of social media, and will elevate the entire social landscape for Adorama. The Social Media and Content Strategist is hyper-knowledgeable about the latest emerging trends, and will create social storytelling that is authentic, thrilling, informative and is aligned with the Adorama Create No Matter What branding platform. You will be hands-on in Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Discord, and other Adorama-owned social media channels.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Organize and build content that aligns with the strategies of Adorama, Adorama Rentals, and Private Brands on all social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.
  • Work intimately with others in the Brand Marketing team, Marketing Operations, and Merchant teams to create and amplify digital storytelling efforts across all of our retail verticals- Photo, Video, Music, Gaming and more.
  • Work intimately with Influencers to partner and produce content for ongoing campaigns.
  • Monitor trends in social media, lifestyle, and innovation and appropriately apply that knowledge to create timely and relevant content.
  • Develop new and creative ways to generate brand awareness and consumer engagement through content creation.
  • Assist and be present during Live streams, create behind the scenes content, attend workshops, attend shoots, and other aspects of production for the Brand Marketing team.
  • Attend experiential and industry events to create digital storytelling opportunities for Adorama.
  • Be immersed in digital channels and conduct social listening to uncover trends and viral concepts.
  • Create brand experiences such as contests, giveaways, and social-driven promotions to build community and drive engagement.
  • Use digital tools such as Sprout Social, Airtable, Gleam, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, Canva, Wordpress to produce and monitor content.
  • Monitor all organic social media channels for community and engagement opportunities to drive 1-1 conversations with followers.
  • Create monthly reporting for organic metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ social media experience in a marketing organization, retail preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record of incorporating and using the newest and emerging social media content formats such as Instagram Live, Twitter Spaces, Reels, TikTok etc.
  • Strong organizational skills to build content publishing calendars and create stories for our audiences.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format and build and maintain relationships
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to handle high volumes of work at all times.
  • Highly creative taskmaster and innovative thinker with experience in identifying target audiences and devising social media strategies to go after them.
  • Proficient in social media metrics and analytics.
