And Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and news
  • Stay up-to-date with competitor social media
  • Oversee day-to-day community management across all social channels:
    • manage 24/7 customer support and community management on social
    • work with Customer Support team to provide excellent customer experience
    • Collaborate with Comms team on announcements and social media PR management
  • Own and create social media calendar; schedule posts using Sprout Social
    • Each channel should be treated as its own product with different users
    • Work with Research team to understand the different user segments and channel strategies
    • Weekly meeting with Brand Manager, Content to review upcoming posts for each channel, 2 weeks out
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Comms, Operations, and various other teams to support company and team OKRs
  • Monitor user engagement and strategize ways to grow brand awareness, followers and engagement across social channels
  • Create and produce monthly Social Listening reports
    • Analyze and report on social media channel performance and individual campaigns
    • share key learnings and provide recommendations and improvements based on findings
    • identify KPIs
    • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone and voice
  • Collaborate with Design team to create designs and design templates that follow brand guidelines and is informative and engaging
  • Lead social media creative direction and coordinate select social media photoshoots with photographers to build marketing content library
  • Work with creative agency, design team or contractors to produce dynamic social media content, such as videos, animations, and podcasts
  • Support influencer marketing:
    • responsible for identifying influencers, outreach, briefings, review and approval process, and executing campaigns
  • Some paid social media execution to strategically boost engagement and awareness
  • Owner of the Spin content library

Requirements And Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial that works effectively in a remote startup environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other emerging social media channels
  • Proficient with social media management tools and social listening
  • Strong writing and editing skills; excellent storytelling abilities and able adapt writing to different audiences
  • Experience with paid social media is a plus, specifically Facebook Ads Manager and Google/YouTube Ads
  • Strong understanding of social media KPIs and metrics
  • Familiar with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or Keynote
  • Critical thinker and creative problem-solver
  • Collaborative, team player with experience working in cross-functional teams and managing external partners such as creative agencies or influencers
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field
