Marketing Manager (contract, part time)

WellCapped is a data driven beauty company that allows customers to discover emerging long tail brands. Our first focus is on hyper-consumers who purchase and rent high quality, lace-front wigs. WellCapped makes data-driven decisions to select inventory, and to provide a Netflix-esque suggestion list of emerging long tail brands to its users. This role combines business development and social media marketing.
About the Job:
The Associate Marketing Manager handles the strategy and execution of campaigns, offers, and communications that drive program acquisition, engagement, and sales. You will build a marketing strategy to reach and engage target audiences through both online and offline channels, driving sales and increasing conversion. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll work cross functionally to tell the story of WellCapped via email campaigns, social media, and in-person events. This is a part-time, contract role with potential for conversion to full-time in the future.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor funnel performance and identify opportunities to improve customers experience and engagement on site and mobile apps
- Design and oversee execution of a “test-and-learn” roadmap of Marketing initiatives, including monitoring test performance and making recommendations for rollout strategies based on learnings and insights
- Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns to increase customer LTV, retention, and purchasing frequency via the WellCapped brand value proposition and voice; and develop reporting on sales revenue generated from campaigns
- Provide subject matter expertise to champion digital media best practices, educate marketing leaders on media optimization, and drive innovation.
- Support the development of influencer marketing strategies and plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus 1-3 years of relevant job experience, preferably in influencer relations, marketing, and/or PR on brand and/or agency side
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, often-changing environment.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate obstacles and also quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas.
- Shows elite relationship-building skills and organizational agility to leverage partnerships across the organization to get work done.
- Passion for the beauty and hair industry and savvy in digital/social media trends and best practices (professional experience in these industries is a plus!)
Other Details:
- Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week
- Contract will run for 3 months with a potential opportunity for full-time employment
