Our growing company is seeking a Marketing Manager with a successful track record of managing brand campaigns from start to finish and overseeing copywriting, creative development, social media, influencer marketing and partnerships. A qualified candidate would possess a college degree and a minimum of 5-7 years working in marketing, advertising, brand or product management. About us: SportPet Designs (aka Mission Pets, Inc.) is a leading provider of "pet lifestyle" products—we develop trend-right, quality items which are sold in top retailers worldwide, in both brick & mortar and online channels. Our product scope includes Pet Apparel, Collars & Leads, Bedding, Bowls, Toys, Cat Furniture, Kennels, etc. We are an established company with a great reputation in our industry. Role:
As the Marketing Manager, you will have in-house or agency experience managing integrated marketing campaigns with a results-driven mindset. You are a creative thinker and problem solver with a willingness to challenge status quo. Not only are you an excellent communicator but you have a deep understanding of brand voice with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on attitude. You have experience working with major brand licenses. Plus, you must have an affinity for pets!
Responsibilities:
- Lead marketing campaigns with cross-functional team, partnering with Creative, Sales, Product Operations and Agencies to ensure the campaign is delivered seamlessly i.e. Influencer, Promotions, New Product Launch, Online Advertising, etc.
- Oversee key brand channels: website, social media, influencer marketing and brand partnerships to build overall brand awareness and engagement
- Responsible for content creation across our platforms
- Manage marketing calendar, brand budget and creative development process
- Define measurable brand goals for each campaign; document and communicate results and learnings to ensure they are applied to future campaigns
- Develop value proposition and messaging frameworks for campaign content
- Know the customer and the full user experience for each campaign
- Facilitate creative kickoffs, brainstorms and team working sessions
- Ensure alignment and consistent messaging across all platforms and marketing channels
- Act as central contact point for cross-functional business partners: Design, Sales, Brand, Licensors, Outside Agencies and Major Retailers worldwide
- Salary: $80-100K/year depending on experience
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5-7 years of experience working in marketing, advertising, brand or product management
- Consumer products is a must
- Experience with national brands and licenses
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships with co-workers and external partners.
- Strong understanding of social media and e-comm
- Experience with reviews / syndication
- Position requires organization, creative problem solving, attention to detail, adaptability and high degree of collaboration and brand understanding
- Strong story-telling skills via PowerPoint
- Ability to be creative and innovative
- A self-driven, team player who takes the initiative
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in managing/working with external agencies and partners
- Ability to build relationships with individuals with diverse personalities and styles and at different levels of seniority
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize while working under multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Proficiency in content creation applications
- Some travel required
