Social Media Manager

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000/yr.
Chuy’s is seeking a talented social media professional to join our team! The Social Media Manager will be directly responsible for managing the company’s organic social media presence and working with agency partners to manage paid social media advertising campaigns. They will contribute significantly to the company’s goals and success by creating engaging social media strategy and content that drives sales, brand awareness, audience growth and affinity.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Social Media Manager role is a full-time position based in Austin, TX. Candidates must be local to Austin or willing to independently relocate. Hybrid office environment. Resume is required for consideration.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Social Accounts Administrator
- Administrator for company social accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube.
- Administrator for the Khoros social media monitoring system. Manage dashboards, reports, and training.
Organic Social Management
- Manage organic strategy and content creation, working closely with Marketing, Operations, Field Marketing managers and Local Social Champions teams to craft engaging content that aligns with our overarching strategy and brand voice.
- Oversee, develop, distribute, and report on original content on social media channels.
- Support the Influencer Marketing program, including research, contracts, campaign development, creative briefs, activations, channel requirements and reporting.
Advertising Campaign and Promotional Content Support
- Collaborate with Director of Marketing and agencies on system-wide social advertising campaigns including managing content and assets, content capture planning, creative direction and copy editing.
- Work with agency partners on campaign performance reporting, budgeting, audience insights, channel optimizations and strategy recommendations.
Social Listening, Crisis Management and Reporting
- Manage social listening initiatives. Create listening dashboards, monitor conversations, respond in brand voice, and provide reporting and insights to Operations and Leadership within the organization.
- Create guidelines for brand reputation and issue management. Provide reporting and insight.
Marketing Department Support
- Work collaboratively to support system-wide and market-specific digital marketing campaigns including national day promotions, holidays, non-profit work, and PR campaigns.
- Support Field Marketing Managers with Local Store Marketing (LSM) integrations and new restaurant openings.
- Assist with meeting logistics, scheduling, and notes.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in social media marketing.
- Experience working with social media management software programs. A clear understanding of both organic and paid social media performance benchmarks and KPIs.
- Experience working with agency partners, both on the creative development side and media buying.
- Extensive knowledge of best practices across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Giphy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Copywriting experience, including informative, creative, and technical writing skills and use of brand voice.
- Collaborative team player who works well across all departments and field operations teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
- Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work for crisis management, training sessions or promotional events.
- Creativity and Outside-the-Box thinking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Restaurant/Hospitality social media marketing experience.
- Experience managing social media for a large B2C brand.
- Experience with Khoros Marketing social media management software.
