Growth Marketing Manager

Clipboard Health
California, USA Remote ⚠ [Archived] No Longer Accepting Applicants
Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 Annually

Why Clipboard Health Exists:

We exist to lift as many people up the socioeconomic ladder as possible. The average nursing assistant without a college degree makes $36k a year; the average nursing assistant on Clipboard Health makes $53k a year and the top 5% make $74k a year. We dramatically improve lives, by letting healthcare professionals turn extra time & ambition into career growth. We have healthcare professionals texting us photos of a car they were finally able to buy, a school & church they’re building in their native Haiti with money they earn here, and more.

We achieve this by working with healthcare facilities such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and rehab centers to provide on-demand nursing staff. Our mission is to enable healthcare professionals to work when they want, and where they want, and to enable healthcare facilities to get staff when they need it.

About Clipboard Health:

Clipboard Health is a post Series B, an extremely fast-growing tech startup with classic two-sided network effects, revolutionizing the healthcare staffing industry. We’re a post-product-market fit with substantive revenue.

We need your help to keep growing so we can serve more healthcare professionals, healthcare facilities, and patients.

About the Role:

As the Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for experimenting, scaling, and maintaining channels focused on nurse ("supply") acquisition. You’ll be responsible for growing the performance, and customer acquisition for several channels, to develop an understanding and a plan to increase channel conviction month-over-month. To be successful, you will need to validate the strength and depth of new channels, develop go-to-market strategies, document learnings, monitor performance/results, prioritize the iterations for optimization, and work with various teams to build the system for scale. Our ideal candidate is a self-managed, data-driven, customer-centric, unreasonably fast individual who relishes discomfort and holds themselves to high standards by taking ownership of their work.

The skillset of a marketer these days demands experience and depth in technology, design, communication, lead generation, analytics, reporting, researching, planning, targeting. This means you need to be able to do more than create catchy taglines for ads, find keywords, post a blog, track metrics, and manage your calendar. You need to creatively use data, orchestrate influential action, and strategically create uniqueness among an ocean of competing brands. You are extremely curious at every moment, asking yourself the 5 "why" that push you to dig deep and not be satisfied until you truly understand the root cause. If you’re looking for an enriching challenge while leveling up your abilities, this is the role for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Continuously create, develop, implement, test, and document various marketing strategies within channels.
  • Interact with our customers regularly to gather critical feedback on marketing efforts, preferences, needs/wants, and overall satisfaction.
  • You are always searching for actionable recommendations within channels to make data-driven decisions and sound business judgment to run tests and improve results.
  • Provide clear learnings about user behavior, funnel throughput mechanics, market reach, and communication preferences.
  • Contribute to omnichannel marketing optimization while enhancing data learnings for various teams.
  • Enable a clear understanding of channels performance via data attribution and funnel dashboarding through hygienic data collection.
  • Provide best practices while being our resident expert for channels by staying on top of new technologies, tactics, trends, and shifts.
  • Recommend and track monthly channels budget that enables deep testing, rapid scaling, and maintain scaled results for nurse ("supply") acquisition.
  • Have extreme ownership of your work as the buck stops with you, no matter what anyone else did or did not do as you're self-reliant, and can get things done in the chaos that is an early-stage startup scaling quickly.
  • Self-manage your workload, timelines, goals, campaign development, strategies, planning, and documentation.
  • Identify gaps in the marketplace and track competitive organizations to dominate within channels creatively.
  • You are fully aware and knowledgeable regarding Marketing Data Compliance (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, Consumer Protection, GDPR, CCPA) and platform policies as it relates to channels.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing result-oriented go-to-market strategies that led to proven growth.
  • You are highly seasoned with demonstrable experience planning, executing, testing, and iterating over a combination of direct-response email/SMS, paid search media, paid social media, paid streaming, organic search engine optimization, organic social media, influencer/affiliate development, and third-party outreach/partnerships.
  • Can execute highly targeted audience research and building, define and develop targeting personas, and identify proper segmentation of users and their ideal client journey flow.
  • Comfortable owning, defining, reporting, and communicating go-to-market strategies that outline performance, success metrics, insights from testing, and key strategic opportunities.
  • Must be able to independently project manage several projects/initiatives that have clear hypotheses, organized recommendations, and be comfortable sharing with the internal team.
  • Expert-level ability to track, aggregate, and summarize data to identify trends and learnings. Must be able to set up, verify, and troubleshoot tracking pixels.
  • Advanced+ knowledge of marketing technology systems (Zoho One, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Segment, Metabase, Mixpanel, Adjust SDK, Google Firebase, Zapier, WordPress, App Annie, Google Play/Apple App Stores) for data tracking, channel reporting, user engagement, funnel optimization, performance monitoring, and creative development.
  • Experience with go-to-market platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Taboola, Outbrain, DoubleClick, Indeed Sponsored Jobs, Zoho Marketing, Braze, Customer.io, Marketo, Twilio, Spotify, Pandora, Hulu, EverFlow, Cake, Unbounce, or any other similar marketing platforms.
  • Personally create written content and creative assets that communicate messages.
  • Effectively managed outside resources or talent to achieve desired results or deliverables.
