Position Purpose
The Media Supervisor role is responsible for leading McDonald’s Youth initiatives, along with key initiatives such as McDonald’s All American Games, NASCAR and our LGBTQ+ programs, while providing support from a national investment standpoint. Investment support includes but is not limited to: buy stewardship, performance accountability, JBP stewardship and serving as the multi-cultural marketplace conduit. This role partners with the national Marketing Team and agencies to deliver results, particularly for the audience they lead (Youth).
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Youth Paid Media Strategy & Implementation
- Partner with agency teams to develop, implement and optimize plans that deliver on Youth Goals
- Partner with internal Happy Meal lead to effectively translate business challenges into briefs for agency partners
- Monitor investment against key partnerships (Disney) and identify areas for optimization based on changing marketplace and business dynamics
Investment Support
- Steward buys in partnership with agencies, ensuring performance accountability, application of ROMI results and in-market optimizations to drive greater plan effectiveness
- Serve as multi-cultural marketplace lead: building relationships with key partners, monitoring the marketplace for new opportunities and challenging longstanding ways of working to deliver stronger strategic opportunities
- Steward JBP opportunity implementation including monitoring performance, identifying areas to optimize and tracking of investment
- Lead search & navigation planning and implementation, capitalizing on top performing channels to deliver on business needs
Oversee Media Support for Select Key Initiatives (McDonald’s All American Games,McDaag & LGBTQ+)
- Partner with cross functional teams in building out strategic approach to initiatives
- Manage day-to-day implementation and stewardship of national media strategies for McDonald’s All American Games, NASCAR partnership & LGBTQ+ initiatives
People/Relationship Management
- Build and manage collaborative relationships with marketing peers, national agencies, media vendors and owner operators
- Partner with cross functional teams in the analysis of new opportunities
Qualifications
- Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
- 1-3 year experience in supporting the development and execution of marketing plans at advertising agencies or consumer brands
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Marketing, Communications, Business)
- Experience in organic and paid social and working knowledge of platform and unit best practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced, real-time social media environment
- Creative content strategy experience
- Experienced leading and/or working on Multicultural campaigns
- Strong written and verbal skills, including live feedback discussions
- Experience working on content development for big brand campaigns a plus
- Experience in multicultural marketing is a plus; including expertise in the Hispanic Consumer is a plus
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
- Previous experience leading agencies or managing creative team
- Influencer marketing experience
