Digital Leader role - CDO

Our client's mission is to make every conversation count. This role will be critical in taking that mission to its next evolution. They're not simply looking for someone to build a digital capability or practice. They want someone who’s eager to build a completely integrated team into the existing PR, Strategy, Creative, Design group and do it both in Canada and the US at the same time. They're not building from scratch, but they want to implement something built for today’s modern integrated marketers and we’re ready to invest heavily to make it happen.

The Role:

First and foremost, the Digital Leader is responsible for effectively building and managing a fully integrated digital capability/team among the agency’s existing client teams. Your digital chops are important, of course, but your leadership skills are paramount.

Reporting to the Global President, you’ll be a member of the global executive team, helping to shape the future of the agency. As an expert, you have an in-depth understanding of all aspects digital: Social, Influencer, SEO, SEM, media planning and buying, social commerce, AR/VR and leveraging data.

In this role, you will:

 Build a vision for a legitimately integrated digital capability into our Canadian and US operations.

 Lead digital teams from multiple disciplines, ensuring growth and development of talent

 Ability to sell your vision in partnership with client leaders to agency clients and prospects.

 A thought leader in the industry (or least a desire to be)

 Highly motivated, dynamic, with a strong interest in new technologies and of the evolving digital landscape

 An understanding of the influencer marketing discipline and desire to evolve it.

 Enough technical understanding to be able to build campaigns that that are both innovative and possible

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Background – 15+ years experience in digital agencies and/or in-house roles.

 Experience working with larger, complex organizations (like current clients) is an asset

 Strategic thinker and a convincing presenter

 Industry savvy, informed on innovations, trends and technologies in digital space.

 Data-driven and strong analytical skills

 Leadership – engaged and excited to help their team member develop and grow into better

practitioners. Motivating your team and others in the agency with your approach, attitude and

behavior
