Position Summary

The Senior Director, Global Public Relations & Influence will lead the strategy development of external communications and influencer strategies for CALVIN KLEIN globally—including partnership with regional teams in local integration across EMEA, LATAM & APAC markets, in addition to direct oversight on implementation and execution within North America.

Key within this role is the development of the strategy for the Public Relations & Influence functions, creating a clear plan to support these strategies in connecting brand pillars and concepts, and to deliver against key business priorities—inclusive of KPIs that drive growth in “brand heat” and positioning against our key competitive set in fashion, as well as identifying new and innovative methods to drive product consideration and conversion. The position will lead a team that drives brand energy, consumer demand and inspires new/existing audiences. The role will lead in understanding relevant cultural elements globally to enhance and build Public Relations & Influence strategies effectively in each region.

This position is responsible for providing a range of strategic direction across PR and influencer programs within the Consumer Engagement team globally. The role will empower and encourage a global team (regionally and in North America) to create a deep network of influencers and media opportunities across culture, lifestyle and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities Of The Job

  • In alignment with strategy set forth by the Global Public Relations, Influence, Advocacy and Social Media team, lead all global PR and influence functions – collaborating with categories and businesses globally & regionally to create the most effective influencer & communications plans to fuel consumer demand.
  • Works cross-functionally with CALVIN KLEIN leaders (Consumer Marketing Organization and beyond) and regional teams to develop seasonal and annual communications & influencer frameworks aligned to business and brand goals globally & regionally.
  • Oversees & establishes communications objectives, priorities, plans and processes, consistent with global & regional business and brand goals.
  • Leads Global/NA & International Teams to ensure consistent & optimized delivery to markets.
  • Identifies ongoing collaboration opportunities across product, content & experience to ensure CALVIN KLEIN innovates & pushes boundaries.
  • Leads the Global Public Relations & Influence calendar – collaborating with Advocacy and Social Media team leads to build out comprehensive owned/earned communication plan seasonally.
  • Oversees Global Influencer MAE budget.
  • Oversees all reporting around PR & Influencer programs in alignment with key seasonal and campaign objectives, based on existing/new platforms & consumer insights in partnership with regional teams.
  • Leads communication of all PR & Influence performance (in partnership with Social and Advocacy team leads) for socialization and education across Consumer Engagement and CMO teams.
  • Creates inspiration internally and externally for the PR & Influence function.

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in communications, digital platforms, entertainment, retail, youth & influencer marketing space.
  • Key relationships and proven track record within industry a must.
  • Experience developing cross-channel communications campaigns in culture, lifestyle, fashion, retail, entertainment and/or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to put content in front of consumers.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
