Overview

Every year, East West Bank looks to hire junior/senior level undergraduate and graduate students for our summer internship program, starting in May and running through mid-August. All internships are full-time, paid opportunities. In a typical year, applications are accepted January through March. 

East West Bank’s internship program gives students the opportunity to gain valuable and practical hands-on experience in their majors, explore the banking/finance industry, and learn about our culture and business philosophy. From special projects to collaborating with team members, students will leave feeling energized, knowledgeable, and excited about the banking industry. 

We currently have Summer Internship positions available for current College/University students, with Cross Border team located in Pasadena, CA. The internship is a paid, full-time position that will take place for 10-12 weeks starting in May and running through mid-August.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive different Student Product initiatives including influencer campaigns and partnership
  • Conduct in-depth market research on industry trends / challenges and present in a professional setting
  • Product Marketing – good sense of creating good contents and to convey product messaging
  • Interest in product management / product growth – exploring new channels and acquiring users by coming up with new growth hacking strategies and executions
  • Creative storytelling ability – being able to find scrappy and creative ways to deliver
  • User Empathy - run user interview, and being able to identify pinpoint and turn into product suggestions

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a College/University with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Preferably Bilingual English and Chinese
  • Understand International student markets and needs
  • Preferably previously intern experience in tech industry/growth team/know how social media works
  • Passionate about the fintech industry. With good instinct and innovation
  • Good communication and presentation skills. With positive mindset, be ready to challenges, result-oriented
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
