Director of Marketing
As our Director of Marketing, you'll accelerate the rapid omnichannel growth of our Outstanding brand. From street teams to paid advertising, you’ll manage and grow our brand presence and drive revenue in and out of stores. You’ll play a critical role in helping us make it easy for everyone to eat healthier, great tasting foods that happen to be plant based. Through our playful, irreverent marketing our customers are excited to try our snacks with benefits. The taste and benefits keep them coming back for more.
Reporting to our Co-founder and CEO, you’ll spearhead marketing and brand strategies and take a hands-on approach to implementing them across all consumer touch points from packaging to digital. You’ll build and lead a small, high performing team helping them be Outstanding. You’ll create impactful processes and procedures that build effective cross-functional relationships and collaboration internally and with external agencies and contractors. Ideally this role will be located in Los Anglees.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a marketing roadmap that will drive ROI, awareness, profitable growth, and market share
- Direct, manage and lead the growth of social media (tik tok, IG, etc), content strategy, DTC growth and retention, PR,, influencer, events, and gorilla marketing
- Build, manage and nurture a high performing marketing team that loves their jobs
- Elevate and strengthen the brand across all consumer touch points
- Partner with CEO to deliver omnichannel innovation plans in retail and DTC
- Create and support a compelling brand experience via consumer-first 360° programs
- Engage with cross functional partners to deliver profitable marketing and innovation strategies
- Monitor the competitive landscape to identify gaps and opportunities
- Develop and execute action plans to improve brand awareness and sales
About you:
You are an experienced omnichannel marketer who has worked with startup brands across consumer packaged goods, ideally food/beverage. You have a history of successfully designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that deliver high levels of ROI. You’re the kind of leader that others aspire to be like and you help your team grow and have fun along the way. In addition, you should have:
- At least 8 years of experience in marketing within the CPG industry
- At least 3 years of leadership and team building experience in a high growth org
- Passion for healthy, plant based foods and making an impact
- Possess a growth mindset, strive to learn and always do your best
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (clear, concise, and polished)
- Disposition towards coaching others and receiving coaching/feedback with grace
- Bias for action and follow our done is better than perfect philosophy
