Today, Hu makes a variety of delicious snacks and confections, including our award-winning dark chocolate bars, chocolate-covered nuts and fruit, and grain-free crackers and cookies. We aim to be a brand that leads with taste and nutrition, while balancing that ambition with a human-centric focus on purpose, sustainability, and ethical sourcing. About the Role
Hu is looking for a chocolate-loving Influencer & Social Media Marketing Manager who will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Hu Kitchen’s social media/influencer program. This creative role requires vast industry knowledge, a passion for quick growth, and dedication to engaging with the full Hu Kitchen online community of passionate eaters! The primary focus of this role is to build and strengthen our online community, influencer relationships, and brand connections across all online channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, etc) via strategy development and execution.
The Influencer/Social Media Manager is responsible for the brand’s overarching social media strategy. This role requires strategic planning and execution of major social campaigns & new product launches. It also requires a major commitment to providing creative content on a consistent basis. This role works especially close with the Brand Manager & Vice President of Marketing & eCommerce. This position is remote and reports to the Brand Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly discover and reach out to new and existing influencers who create content aligned with the Hu Kitchen mission, brand, and lifestyle (via brand ambassador program and influencer agency).
- Cultivate strong relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and fans through consistent communication and engagement – you’re the key to helping make them our biggest brand fans! The objective: keep people invested in Hu Kitchen / the brand through creative seeding, partnerships, and establishing strong relationships.
- Be a role model of Hu Kitchen’s culture and core values of Humanity, Hunger, Hustle, and Humility.
- Support the Marketing team in brainstorming creative campaign ideas and disruptive “ways to win” in the social / influencer space.
- Develop the influencer strategy related to the planning and execution of product launches, major marketing campaigns, retail launches, and experiential brand events.
- Responsible for the strategic integration, and execution related to the overarching social / influencer program.
- Develop copy and creative briefs for all collateral associated with all social / influencer-focused marketing campaigns (omnichannel), creative mailings, and events.
- Maintain a pulse on marketing and influencer-focused trends and campaigns across the wellness and beauty industries. Use these insights to bring unique and original ideas to the table during strategy development and execution.
- Assist with budget forecasting and tracking related to the execution of the social / influencer program and influencer-facing projects.
- Analyze marketing data as needed for campaign performance, providing learnings.
- Responsible for managing all social / influencer-focused campaign project timelines.
- Support and execute unique monthly product seedings to new and existing influencers and brand ambassadors. This includes: Managing and tracking all outbound seedings and influencer content ROI through the Tribe Dynamics platform.
- Generate monthly reporting and recapping of influencer seeding program initiatives.
- Manage influencer budget and work closely with the Category Growth Manager on influencer gifting forecast.
- When required, work cross-functionally with the operations team and eCommerce team to ensure specialty boxes can be made salable on the website.
- Manage press strategy in coordination with Marketing efforts to secure any long-lead product placement or feature stories via an outside agency.
- Develop overarching social media strategy and growth objectives across all channels.
- Maintain a fair, balanced level of exposure on social channels across key brand content pillars, inclusive of retailers, influencers, UGC, branded content, education, recipes, etc.
- Serve as brand social lead, developing and executing best-in-class social programs in alignment with key stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and retail team.
- Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices, competitive activity, and other social media leaders to bring early adopter trends to Hu Kitchen.
- Be a force of proposal within the brand to go after high-potential opportunities.
- Develop standards and best practices within social media to inform and scale across all social channels.

Who you are:
- Bachelors’ degree in marketing or related field; CPG experience highly valued.
- You have 4+ years of professional experience focused on social media marketing, PR, and influencer marketing.
- Someone with a “Yes and…” approach to new ideas and campaigns.
- Someone who enjoys building authentic, organic relationships – and works hard behind the scenes to maintain them.
- You are passionate and have your finger on the pulse of what’s trending, knowledge of trends in digital media (social, influencer, content, video, mobile)
- You are highly engaged in and active on social media
- You are a creative and innovative thinker, organized, detail-oriented, team player, and solution-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing strategies
- You have excellent time management and project management skills
